Carol Schram: Thursday's Sedin sendoff marks an unusual, emotional end to a tough season A game between two bottom-dwelling teams in the Pacific Division becomes a national attraction as Daniel and Henrik Sedin play the final home game of their 17-year NHL careers at Rogers Arena.

Awesome Carol. What a great career by two class individuals and just top-notch ambassadors of the game. It's time...but it's also a sad time. Best to Hank and Danny the memories will live on.

Thanks Carol!

In 2010, Daniel had a goal and three assists and Henrik had four assists as the Canucks beat Calgary 7-3. Those points pushed Henrik three points past two guys named Crosby and Ovechkin for the Art Ross trophy with 29-83-112.

I remember watching this game hoping Henrik could pull it off. It was probably the most excited I have been for a Canucks game, including any from 2011 cup run. They were really special to watch in their prime and the appreciation they are receiving from the hockey world is long overdue

The sedins retirement,it's kinda sad and exciting at the same time, I don't think I have ever felt that way in my entire life, its weird. I am sure I will shed an emotional tear or more tonight.

I’m happy they’ve decided to hang em up, it’s just time. I’m glad I was able to witness and remember them in their prime and will always appreciate what they did and how great that ride was in 2011 as well as some great hockey for about a five year period.

If I see you crying there, don’t expect me to act like I know you after the game.

I wish this game wasn’t against AZ but they just might find a little magic playing against this poop team.

Most eastern media is jumping on the Sedins retirement bandwagon after disregarding and in many cases disrespecting them over their entire careers. It will be interesting to see if all this love is still in fashion when their names come up for HOF consideration.

I think every retired Hart Trophy winner is in the HHOF except Jose Theodore, Henrik will get in, he has a few personal accomplishments as well as a game seven Cup final.
