He's not dynamic. He's good but doesn't do anything that separates him from others. Doesn't have speed, not a great stick handle, isn't physical, doesn't impress defensively. The rest of the guys all have something. Bouchard is just "good" at everything. I'm sure he will be a fine nhl player. Van needs dynamic. - manvanfan
Yes. Yes. Yes.
I think that's the MO for people who wanted the team to tank. Get someone dynamic and build from there. |

Some of the top 20 that I consider so far just decent nothing special are
Wilde Merkley Smith Fabaree and even Veleno . There are also a few I have not seen play yet - VANTEL
Wilde will probably go somewhere mid first. Merkley's defence is just so bad, his offence is great. The potential will probably earn him a mid first like Liljegren from last season. Smith was bad in the Top prospects game, hasn't been very good in this tourney either.
I still like Veleno. Anywhere from 9-12 guessing.
Ryan Mcleod doesn't spark much other then hard working.
Jonathan Tychonick, i've liked his game so far in the tournament. First real look for just about all of us. |

Svechnikov. - thundachunk
Sure. I don't care about position, could be a goalie for all I care. Just get someone who can impact a game on their own.
After years of watching our team's line combinations being restricted because of roster personnel (and I'm not just talking twins) or coach 'protecting' certain player minutes, I want to see guys come in and just do it by themselves. Like Brock.
I'm all for development, but I just want our 1st rounder to be something unique and I guess dynamic. |

It’s really tough to rank the defemsmen this draft. I definitely have Boqvist at the back of the pack. I simply can’t ignore Bouchards production - CanuckDon

Boqvist top Karlsson bottom. - manvanfan
Yep.
Pretty darn comparable. If anything, Boqvist put up better numbers in the same leagues and stuck in out in the SHL twice as long.
Benning played it safe with O.J, time to go boom or bust with Boqvist/Hughes |

Canadian heart at the top of the draft, Euro skill in the later rounds. Or BPA on the 75 person list teams take to the draft supposedly. |

With guds signed for a few more years. Hughes might make a decent combination with him. Got to think long term though. |

I would really hate to have to equate Gudbranson with 'long-term' |

Jesse Puljujarvi not in Edmonton would have been a good pick. |

ASL needs to get his moped out of the HOV lane and I wouldn’t try to run his ass off the road all the time. |

Bahl - VANTEL
I saw Bahl in the top prospects game and he looked good out there. Could be a good second round pick. But he's likely minimum 5 years away from the show. So timeline wise that works with moving Gud out. |

I hope so. I’m rooting for Connelly being a PG boy. Mostly though I would like to see Ovi lead his team to success. |
