Well then your GF will appreciate it as a breakfast appetizer while she's waiting for her entire cheeseburger to deep-fry - eichiefs9
Tried that once at a bar by me. Worst thing ever. |

All you cheese fuccboii's prepare to have your lives changed (mainly you mdw because I know you have a smoker, or at least I'm pretty confident you do)
Get wheel of brie, some sort of fruit preserves (apricot is good, peach, etc...), and some Herbs de Provence (spice aisle). Unwrap the brie, put it on foil and roll up the edges to tight to the sides of the brie, to make a sort-of foil bowl around it. Smear the top of it with a healthy coating of the preserves and sprinkle the herbs de provence on top of that. Depending on what kind of smoker you have/how hot it cooks, pick your favorite wood and smoke that poop until the top starts to look melty/gelatin-y. Grab some crackers or whatever the hell you want. You're welcome. - eichiefs9

When I went to Paris a couple of years back, the cheese was just fantastic. Of course, some of it required you to take six showers before being in the vicinity of human beings again.

So two grease sponges with a piece of overcooked meat in the middle. Sounds horrid. |

Does Canada have a national cheese? - JRR1285
Not that I'm aware of. Probably Canadian Cheddar if any. Which, like most Canadians tends to be un-assuming and non-offensive. But, if you get into a solidly aged (3+ years), old type, they are sharp and down right delicious.
I am a fan of pretty well every type mentioned here so far, aside from Fromunda. Black and Bleu burger is definitely nice. I like to make my own burgers and have been known to bury some cheddar and a thin slice of onion, or some feta and chopped olives inside. I urge you to give it a try. |

The feta burger with the chopped olives is solid as hell. You can go more authentic and make it ground lamb instead of beef.

I really like feta and olives and I have had them on a burger. Really good. My daughters favorite cheese is feta and she loves olives too. She would go nuts. |

I like brie on it's own, but I could literally eat an entire wheel when it's smoked. Speaking of cheese plates, I have been toying with the idea of taking a stab at home-making some charcuterie...but who knows. |
