Jan Levine's "opinion" on the hit is right. Thanks Jan. I use quotation marks for opinion because its not really an opinion when you look at the FACTS of it that Jan listed.

personally, I am appalled by Tom Wilson's repeated predatory hits, but, I have no sympathy for Penguins fans.

You guys repeatedly defended Matt Cooke's hits over the years, and sometimes, the chicken comes home to roost.

I get the concept of measure for measure. Plus karma is a you know what. Still doesn’t absolve the bigger problem, which is the NHL’s continued failure to appropriately deal with the situation. They failed then and are failing now. Wilson could stay play with an edge but in line with the rules and be highly effective. By going over the line, he diminishes everything else he contributes to Washington.

It's amazing how so many people can see a hit differently.

Initial point of contact Jan. Everything after this point is just noise.

Feet are on the ice, shoulder to shoulder. Perfect hit

I mean Karma and all that. The best is how Malkin tried to slew foot Lethera and ended up hurting his own leg. So these two team can go to actually war and I wouldn't care and the human sacrifice.

like Chiefs said, I wouldn't care if the roofs caved in on both of their arenas

but, with Tom Wilson, the NHL has a guy who absolutely goes out of his way to injure other players and has no regard for player safety

it's not debatable, that's what this guy does

Just to clarify:

I said I would be rooting for the roof to cave in. I don't want anyone to get confused and think that I'm just apathetic about it. I'm actively hoping for it.

It just depends how flexible said hockey fan is about the new rule changes, which, funny enough, was stimulated by Cooke's elbow to Savard. "Old school" fans probably see nothing wrong with it, but with today's rules, the hit was high and is exactly the type the league is trying to do away with.

He has a hearing, we'll see soon....

I still think Wilson-Wennberg was one of most egregious I have seen and I just don't understand how that one was deemed ok

3 hits of note so far for Wilson, 2 coming from behind the player he hits, the player is engaged on all 3 with another Caps player, the puck has left on all 3 & Wilson comes from distance. Charging?

He is intentionally trying to injure. The Wenneberg hit is ridiculous. He's been given the green light from day 1 of the playoffs & is using it. He 'may' get a game but probably a fine - Bettman likes his rivalries remember. And if Wilson gets suspended, I'd bet The zebs will find something & a Pens player goes as well next game.
