You are laughing, but I am like sign me the (frank) up.

12 years is a long time. Have to think a big-market team like the Rangers could get back to contender form quicker than that.

Now the Islanders on the other hand....that I'd sign up for.

Dude, we have won one cup in 7,000 years. I'll take it.

Might motivate me to take better care of myself to actually make it to the 2030, so that's a plus.

Got to remember Tony is an engineer. So it looks great on paper but will probably end up like this...

- mdw7413

Lol. You take that from my portfolio????
Honestly, I don't know how much of the job I'm up for, but I've promised myself I'm going ahead with it and we'll see how it turns out. I'm not experienced, but I'm stubborn with a dash of OCD, so hopefully I'll make it right!
My plan is to make some kick-ass drawings to build from, so if I follow them I should be ok. The concrete work I've done before. It's a piece of cake.

So, by that timeline, congrats on your 2030 Cup win
- eichiefs9

you know if Rangers could have found a way to beat the Islanders in 2nd round in 1982, they would have gone on to win the damn Cup. That was a heartbreaking 6 game loss the Rangers had to them, then Isles waltzed past Quebec and Vancouver to win their 3rd in a row. '

Herb could have had a Stanley Cup and it's all your fault he didn't.

Well I wasn't alive yet, so I don't know.

Speaking of the 80's Isles...Bill Torrey apparently died today.

Well if I was closer, I would come over and give you a hand in return for a good dinner.

I'm sure you will be alright.

I am doing a bandaid fix on my deck. New ground contact rated boards and beefed up structure with new composite rail. I priced out trex and that was big nope.
- JRR1285

Yeah, Trex is what I looked at, too. Crazy expensive. But, for the lifespan of them, it's worth the extra cost above cedar. It's actually not THAT much more, which is ridiculous.

If you can frame and level a huge deck, I'm confident that you can slap some concrete on an exercise ball

Get your stupid ass out to Long Island and help me build one. I will pay you in beer and pizza, but you have to wait until the oven sets for me to make you the pizza.

I don't want to go that route yet since I am unsure what the final layout of the backyard will be. I have a whole acre to work with. Might end up doing a bunch of pavers if we get a pool. $$$$$$$$$

Yeah, you might want to watch a few more videos. I watched one and thought, "that doesn't look so hard. But, I'm not sure he's doing it right!" And, after checking out some others... I was right. He wasn't doing it right!!

You need to start with a dome of refractory bricks (no easy task itself for a beginner, I'd wager), wire mesh, then mortar, then flame retardant material, more mesh, more mortar, then outer layer of aesthetic bricks. All while maintaining the exhaust hole.

At least, that was my take on it.

Yeah, pretty much all of that. I still want to do that but I expect to just make a mass of expensive materials that you can't cook in when it collapses.

I would some how finish the thing. Try to use it. And then realize I covered the exhaust hole. And then blow the hole thing up in a fit of rage.
