My mind is really blurry this morning, who tied the game late in the third, in game 1 against the senators in 05/06 playoffs? |

It's strange. The Sabres at times appeared to play and dress players who were not the best option to win?
I noticed that too |

Pach, I’m interested to your opinion on why Housley isn’t the right coach?
I don’t remember you mentioning that before.
I think he can be a good head coach with the right assistants |

How is Sam a core player ? I don't think anybody should list him as a core player until he develops consistency - gerbe75pts
I really do not like Sam's lack of passion and toughness, but how is he not considered a core guy.
Young
Rfa cost controlled
Showed nhl scoring ability
Actual trade value
Sam is one of 7-8 guys on the Sabres that actually could be part of a playoff team. |

i'm a fan of pham's coverage, and what he said could well be true...skunk also said that he started playing better when he played his game, yet pham justified that by saying that he was doing so within the system...
just what does that all mean? - Michael Pachla
Not sure. Normally I would think the young guys get a stern talking to coupled with time to improve their play..especially those not “listening” then they are dealt.
However, in the context of this offseason, one has to balance that with Bott’s outrage he expressed and his talk of changing the core...
So if it ain’t ROR, Reino, nor Risto that he is thinking of...it surely isn’t Larsson only. |

I am so over Brad Marchand
He is too talented to pull that BS
This is what happens because of the instigator rule
It's total BS |

I think people are misunderstanding what a core player is ..
A core player to me is a player that you need to win a championship that gets you to the next step and puts the team first at any means necessary
Will we miss a step if we trade sam ?

I think he can be a good head coach with the right assistants - Shadman306
it was painfully obvious that he was in way over his head to begin the season...he did get better as they got further into the season and I believe he learned a lot by the end...
coaching is a tough business and i'm a firm believer that a lot of coaching at the pro level centers around managing egos...in order to do that properly the players must respect the coach and believe in what he's preaching...
i'm still not sure about that right now |

That's a fair assessment of a playoff player.
Anything to win attitude.
I really do not see that in Sam.
Core to me : part of the main group of guys that are the future and part of the bigger picture .
My guess is it might ruffle eichels feathers if his bike buddy is moved.
Sabres trying to set a tone of continuity moving forward. |

How do you feel about adding a couple experienced coaches (scott Arniel and lindy) to the staff?
Would phil be looking over his shoulder?
Who hired the assistants? Is it phil and jbotts, just phil?

That's the question ..
If Carolina called and said we will give you Noah Hanifin
You basically have your first line pairing for the next 10 years
Hanifin -Dahlin
But for this to happen you would have to trade Ryan O'Reilly first to get a Winger

I think if we can get lindy ruff as an assistant it will go a long way as far as keeping ego in check. |

I think he would be looking over his shoulder...speaking of assistants, not sure the hajt hire was the best either...
this one will play itself out...I want to see him succeed and with dahlin on the back end plus probably guhle in the lineup, there won't be much in terms of excuses for him |

I put him on left ?
He is on the second but that's because they have so many good defenseman lol
They can spare one Lefty |
