Maybe Elias said I’m staying in Sweden for another year unless I have an out clause. Why do people always think negotiations are so black and white. Perhaps EP conceded elsewhere to gain the clause. Benning isn’t the only one involved in the negotiations and there are plenty of smart people in the Canucks org.

I mean that's the essence of development: you have to be patient and let guys actually improve at their own pace. Whether that's straight into the NHL or slowly earning minutes in the AHL.
- neem55

i get that, but my only comment on this thing was that i believe as camp runs its course that there will be some loans so that more guys can be in position to take bigger roles while stlil being challenged to grow

I see the dog days of summer are creeping in.

I hope the Capitols sweep Vegas and Vegas doesn't make the playoffs again for at least 10 years.

I find they’ve been starting in February the past couple of years.

Does Dahlen's contract also allow him to go back to EU if someone talks to him to loud or if he doesn't like the smell of Yaletown?

He is right, Dahlen is underrated by this fan base. He will turn heads in training camp

The Canucks determined that it was best for him to return to Sweden due to his mono and a lack of Opportunities. It’s not like Dahlen cried and went home. Him and EP are good kids and they will follow the orgs development advice

Benning offered him one but he looked at the current roster and told Benning "No need, I'm good"
