So let me get this straight, you'd be sad to see the Capitals win the Cup?

Well, I'd like to see Ovi finally rise about the criticism, and I'd love to see impending UFA Barry Trotz win it all. But I do take solace in the fact that, like Vancouver, Washington's one of those teams that just can't get it done. I will be sad if they leave the Canucks behind.

Thanks Carol.

I remember at the start of the playoffs, reading that the playoffs weren't as exciting as usual. Seems it hasn't been that way.

Van should look at Max Paddock (goalie for Regina Pats)

Were you seduced into posting this?

No, I wasn't.

For a goalie who is still young and in his first season had a GAA under 3 and SV% over .900 could be worth a look.

Oh....so it's not really about Washington, it's about saving face for the Canucks lol. Well I would tend to agree with that but I'm of the opinion Ovechkin is one of the greatest players ever and I'm a big Backstrom and Kuznetsov fan, those guys have put a lot of miles on chasing this dream, I hope they win.

The city of Toronto should be on that list too. They won a cup back in the days of horse and buggy. Ice use to be delivered to the homes in a ice box along with milk delivery. It was a different owner. No different than the old Ottawa Senators winning or the Vancouver Millionaires.

There were more CFL teams back then. Yes they should be on the SAD list too.

Enjoy your Sunday boys

Yeah, people seemed upset about the lack of upsets in the first round, but I don't think anybody imagined we'd end up here!

JB will get as much credit as Burke got when Gillis took over.

Only one team has ever won the cup in the first year and that was the year the NHL started. I want to watch the VGK win

It's gonna be a fun series as both teams are good and fast, each to their own but I hope the Capitals and Ovechkin win this one.

I've enjoyed the playoffs. I hate repeat winners, so i'm glad someone else is winning it.

The idea that 30 teams could not protect a roster good enough to beat what McPhee was allowed to assemble in year 1 is ridiculous. I give a mountain of credit to George for running with what was provided and having smashing success but theres no fkn way I am on board with this farce.

I think they've been pretty damn good! Was reading in The Province I think, them talking about how these playoffs have made waves in bigger US sports shows. Basically comparing how exciting the hockey playoffs are because of the mixes and storylines, whereas the NBA is a joke as it's basically what everyone expected would happen.

Go Caps go!

Edit: I like OV. I don't express a lot of love for athletes even though I'm a rabid hockey fan but he makes my list of favourite players.

for sure lol...I don't like OvenChicken but he is the best scorer of this generation...we be a shame to see him go to hall without a cup.

Full props to McPhee for being responsible for 77% of all the players in this years cup final. Seattle may have the same expansion rules in terms of players...but they will not be allowed (from what I heard so far) to pull the back door crap that McPhee did...and they are giving Gary 650 mil instead of VGK's 500 mil...

If Washington wins they should give McPhee a ring as he's put both the teams together for the most part!
