Oh come on , I'm not saying you hated him but most everyone on this board did. Edler and Sbisa used to get the most hate out of everyone on this board. They are the kind of guys whose two-three donkey plays override peoples rationality to see 20-24 minutes of relatively mistake free hockey. kinda like Phaneuf really.

I always supported Sbisa. He made the odd bonehead play which casual observers will quickly pick up on but he also made plenty of subtle positive plays that you need to be on the ice to appreciate. He is a hard guy to play against and well respected by his teammates

He's better than anyone who played in the 3-4 spot last year for us. It was a mistake and he should have been protected, which I mentioned before the draft and MANY on here disagreed and laughed at.

I honestly think he would be a nice fit to come back. Not a ton of talented UFA D's this year. Moore would be another I'd be into, Maybe even Green on a short-term contract with no trade protection.

If there is one thing I've learned from both playing and watching a frank load of puck, people tend to focus on the one-two mistakes and have a hard time with the big picture. I know that was me for a long time too, I think stats and watching lots of tape help you start to see beyond the obvious bonehead plays.

Still can’t believe the Sharks/Ducks pro scouts actually recommended Bieksa to their GM’s. Shows you how old school the NHL still can be, reputation goes a long way
