They found a way to win yes but I guarantee that game ends different if that Reaves goal is called off as it should have been. The first Vegas PP goal was chicken-sh!t as well. They have had the 7 day layoffs before and to me they looked very vulnerable last night.
Like Lefty says I think WAS will find a way. Hoping anyway lol - LordHumungous
I still think WASH finds a way too. They have more top-end guys who I think are more capable at making the right adjustments; both teams had some dominant stretches, so itll be close, but I think the Caps can pull this off |

While my moneys on Vegas winning I have to admit watching the Sedins retire without a cup made me think about how hard it'll be on OV and his fans if he never gets one. - NorthNuck
It'll suck if he doesn't win one but that's a team accomplishment, he's probably top five goal scorers ever so I'd hate to see him not win one but it is what it is. |

Fun game to watch last night, sloppy turnovers and defending on both sides but entertaining that's for sure. - LeftCoaster

lol at one time I cared if Kesler got his cup I certainly don't now especially after I heard all the back door bullpoop he was trying to pull to get traded from Van.
I'm not really an OV fan but he has cleaned up his act a bit and is playing hard like he wants it. He has to know this will be his only shot. I hate to have to admit this but he is the most prolific scorer of this generation...would be a shame to see him go to the hall without a championship. - LordHumungous
All fan bases hate players who want out, and Kesler is a douche ....but knowing what we know now didn’t he predict the Canucks fall from the top before most and didn’t want to spend his prime years not in the playoffs ?
Or maybe he just needed a change in teammates wives ....either way lol |

For me, in my lifetime, there's only been a handful of guys who should be in the generational talent category, he's one of them.
To score at the rate he has in this era is a tremendous accomplishment! He's 6th all-time in Goals per Game at 0.605 behind Bure, two old guys, Lemieux and Bossy.
Gretzky
Lemieux
Orr
Bossy
Ovechkin
The only guys I'd consider generational players!! I'd put Crosby in with the Joe Sakics of the league, superstar talents but they don't really measure up to the guys above. |

But not their first season, right? - Marwood
I hate that this franchise has no idea what it is like to lose. It will be interesting to see how they navigate the off season. Lots of free agents, lots of pay raises. It won’t be Chicago 2010 but there will changes for sure. |

caps have been decent at that so far but I'd say VGK systems are too strong. They are the LA Kings of their cup years. Personally I like their systems better than those LA used. Very good complete set executed with speed. I don't see anyone doing it in 6 games time. - SMBDragon
Didn't you always say Gallant was more of a motivator than a systems guy when I suggested him for Van? Oh how tunes change |

Crazy that the Canucks have already signed 4 players from last years draft and another is guaranteed to be signed(Dipietro). Compared to 2 players from 2016 it makes me wonder if it comes down to superior decision making, a stronger draft board or just plain luck - NorthNuck
Comes down to a little of each, it seems to me. They are obviously very prepared come draft day. |

We'll see.
Whether they can build on or around Indigenous territory will be decided in court, there are 6 cases pending trial (possibly more, but 6 I know of). The pipeline build will be slow, KM was smart to ask for help early cause investors will be dropping like flies with how long it takes. |

I normally would say so, but even as good as Vegas' top 6 have been, I think Washington's is better and has many individuals who could dominate a game.
The 4th line for Vegas though really came through for them last night, Reeves is going to get paid this summer if he keeps this up |

I believe Ottawa got involved to stop the Eagle Spirit Pipeline proposal by an Indigenous investment group. Really powerful proposal at twice the size and volume of KM's pipeline. It would be a monster.
Check out the info online. It would be an environmentalist's worst nightmare.
Edit: and the BC and Federal governments couldn't say or do a damn thing about it. |

Yeah I hear you...but at that time Kesler was still an impact player that could have stuck around to help the kids like what was done for him. I heard he wanted out as early as 2012 and some of the poop he said especially at the Olympics to kane...badmouthing the whole organization and such. You didn't see the Sedins bailing to another team the first sign of missing the PO's. True colors eventually show and his came out in spades...just how I see it.
lol ya I never really knew if the whole Kesler/Wives thing was true but many on here sure stated that fact. I'm sure there is something to it as it was around hockey circles as well. |
