Dobson looks like Wolverine - VANTEL
I have no idea what to think with Dobson
The right shot is a huge positive, and he looked great on some plays and just lost on others.
Regina looked tired as hell, after playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. |

Gotta be curious when a team that has no money with 3 NHL d on contract and one in the last year before UFA is considering moving on from the guy who has underperformed with the full amount of RFA years ahead of him.
But i'd probably trade the 7th, Dahlen, Demko and Hutton for him if they toss in that 4th round pick we're missing this year. |

Demko is a no go. We really Dipietro is 2-3 years away from backing up, Demko is ready to back up and slowly take the starter role over a couple years. |

I'm taking the piss here.
Since I saw that rumour floated I've seen people on Twitter, Reddit, HF, other places, want to throw half of anything with value on the team for a guy.
This team is so resource poor that unless its some kind of Stuff level trade it doesn't make sense. |

Engelland ? Lol - Redmile247
Not saying they have one, but saying they have neither is false. Fluery is the only reason they've made it this far IMO, Peg played much better |

I really want Demko to stay, but I suspect that's exactly who Carolina would want. Hanafin would be a massive step in the right direction IMO. |

I think Demko is a legit way of getting the conversation stared for Hanafin, tough pill to swallow though given how good he's been in the AHL. |

Goalie is their biggest need, Demko and a pick makes a ton of sense. I would be torn to lose Demko though. |

I could probably live with it straight across or in + situation, if we're being honest. No one has figured out how to project goalies and for all we know he could be another Markstrom and if you're playing odds you wouldn't be a moron to put your money there.
Like, Demko's already up on peers from that draft period like Jarry and Fucale. And if you can grow that guy, great.
What I can't handle is the number of people blowing their spooge over the idea where the only thing that can't be included in a 500 for 1 trade is Petterson.
The dude's defensive game resembles a winger covering D more than it does a defenceman. His upside is probably a gunslinging #3 OFD where you'd want a lockdown lefty on his pair to mop up the mess he leaves behind. Bieksa-Hamhuis/Mitchell-esque.
Hanifin's a worthwhile player and there's a lot of time for the guy, but this team is so embarrassingly low on resources that any trade that makes sense for Carolina for the guy robs Peter and Patrick to pay Paul. |

I disagree. His year two numbers were solid, he's super young and improving. Demko and our second I could live with. The only reason you don't do a deal like that is if you don't think he has potential to be a top pair guy, which I personally do think. |

I want the VGK to win, period, Washington can win a Cup after OV retires. Besides us, there's three teams I want to see win a Cup before anyone else. Winnipeg (for the city that got abandoned by the NHL), Ottawa (in spite of Melnyk) and Nashville (because I have been a fan of that team for years and my work friend's son is playing on that team). Still I would love to see a team full of players who were underutilized, unwanted and for the most part until this season underappreciated win the Cup for a city that had the worst mass shooting in history. - DariusKnight
Im with you on that
It also shows how players (as Ive said) succeed or fail under different coaches and systems and coaches who know how to utilize said player. If only we'd hired gallant like I wanted! |

Not at the expense of Demko. Hanafin's numbers are trending in the right direction but Bo, Brock, Pettersson and Demko need to be off the table...period. |

Meant as a trade chip, but yeah, exactly, if we were really going after Hanifin, I'd be fine with Markstrom, Baertschi, Tanev and a late pick for Hanifin, Skinner and a 4th |
