It also shows how players (as Ive said) succeed or fail under different coaches and systems and coaches who know how to utilize said player. If only we'd hired gallant like I wanted!

Having boat-loads of cap space will allow that "fit". I only like Tavares and Thornton there.

I agree, Thornton would be the perfect center for Pettersson. Plus if healthy could have a nice return at the deadline. (Assuming he only signs a 1 year contract)

Really they need another one that's capable of playing a middle 6 role. Ryan, Beagle, Letestu, Plekanec are out. The rest would do fine but can't be signing anyone long term.

I don't mind Riley Nash, He's also a few years younger then Bozak. I wouldn't go more then 4 years and for more then 3.5

yup. gallant was involved in the expansion draft and had a say in literally selecting the team he wanted. that team was able to select as much speed as they wanted to play with, even with the sedins gone the canucks are still a few years from being half as fast. there is nothing to suggest gallant would have been any more effective than green

As seen by VGK that if you have a really good goalie, you can have a poopty defence.

depending who you decide to give credit to in the insider world, McPhee and Craven were the guys who told Gallant what the roster was going to be and only gave him a few pity picks in the selection process.
