The best case is that hey don't trade Karlsson, but it's looking more likely that that is what will occur.
Vegas's pick next year would be pretty sweet if it could be wrangled from them. Please do not include Ryan in the deal. I've seen a few people argue they could be in for a crash next year. But we all heard the same thing this year, so who knows.
Weird talk on Hoffman though, I wonder what it's coming from. |

Hoffman just looks like he has an attitude problem. Never smiles. Sounds disinterested. I'm going to say they can't stand his face. |

I'm sticking with... If either Karlsson or Hoffman is traded PD should be fired on the spot |

Hoffman doesn't really fit the Sens timeline. If that package is accurate, you take the deal |

lol he’d be an idiot to go into next season without a Karlsson extension signed or close to happening.
Imagine if Karlsson walks for nothing or gets injured right before the TDL and kills his trade value. |

Dorian was extended with the purpose of managing this tire fire knowing full well Melnyk was a stingy old fuk and things were going to be messy and painful and he was in a no win situation. |

Yeah, imagine that. Which is all anyone is doing until the Sens make the offer and Karlsson decides whether to sign or not. Even if he doesn't sign, keep him until near the trade deadline. The value for the rights to sign him to a contract will still be high especially for teams going for the cup. It is every year for players in similar situations. Don't see why next year would be any different. |

Trading one or both of them has to include a first rd in 2019 and then some - soften the blow a bit by Colorado owning theirs outright in 2019.
Get a decent return for Hoffer, and for EK. Still young players to build around. White, Brown, Stone, Chabot, Ceci, Gustavsson, Duchene (see how long he stays), plus whoever they get this year???? Tkachuk? Zadina? Borqvist? Hughes? Bouchard?
Tear it down, build it back up the right way. Do what the Rangers are doing, what the leafs did. It is what it is for next year and Jack Hughes, but have to think beyond that. |

For all the Eugene selling conspiracist, if 65 gets signed its because he is selling and wants to have a bonafide superstar on the team ..to make it look nice and shiny for the new owner. |

Ignorance of what key facts exactly? Is this not information that people would like to at least be aware of? |

I can understand the reluctance on Glass.
He is a really really good 2 way center in the dub.
He is a really valuable prospect. |

The Sens could surprise everyone next season. The team is not a complete disaster as what last seasons results told us or the scary social media implies. But some serious retooling of key veteran guys is necessary. They have had their chances here. With some decent plugs added these guys wont even be noticed gone. I think the biggest area for performance concern is the coaching staff, scouting staff, team staff ...office staff..what ever all staff. It has a serious trickle down effect on the team
Hoff is a heck of a point guy but the return might be better for the SEns now and then.
65 is at his peak likely for next 2-3 years.. i dont know its a tough one to say stay or trade. Either way there is benefits IMO
Whip the Bsens into shape.Big overhaul down there
Do net let the owner in front of a camera or mic next year or PD for that matter
Give free parking for next season unless you want valet |

Hey if we want to buy in to this whole speculation piece about things like non-offensive factors or relationships with a coach why don't they just do a straight up Hoffman for Kessel trade? |

they have a terrible back up goalie in Condon and all your hopes are on the knees of a 37 year old in Anderson coming off a terrible season.
Sens will be hurting if they dont fix their goalie depth, but since they are both signed to good money till 2020, they will start the season with that combo, which could just be another disaster |

Anderson has a tendency to bounce back after a bad season. The problem is that has always been when he's younger. |

Its going to be tough for a 37 year old to bounce back from a sub 900 sv%. You need at least a .915 out of him to be competitive. You never know but that might be a tall ask for him at his age |
|
|
|
If Sens start a rebuild, they can say goodbye to Duchene next year. That guy is probably tired to play for a losing team. |
