I get the pessimism, but we all saw/heard what Sexton said on the radio the other day. There must be change. He specifically chose the word "external". This team will change. Guaranteed.

The insiders like Bob, Dredger and Freidman are typically pretty honest about what they hear about from the Sabres and around the league in general. They're not afraid to talk about how quiet it is sometimes. But all three have been talking about in length how active JB is. Someone or more is getting traded. It's a when, not an if.

I agree with you in that I don't think we make any trades to get us back into the 1st. I think Bott wants players that will help now for O'reilly so that trade can happen after we pay O'reilly's bonus on 7/1 and his worth is more. As for UFAs and goalies, I think we have to add 2 or 3 players to bolster the lineup. As is isn't working

I'm not worried about the goaltending, it was a tire fire last year. Ullmark will be fine they'll find someone to pair up with him

Yea I even remember playing Zemgus and Dubuque but maybe Johnny missed that game when I was a strength coach for the USHL Waterloo Blackhawks. It was Dubuque's first season back as a team in the league and Waterloo and Dubuque were huge rivals.

They started the game with a puck drop and then full line brawl.

I was just reading on Twitter from Nichols that Calgary is dangling Hamilton again.

I'd take him in a minute but it would take someone like Reinhart to get him IMO.
