agreed. Anybody else still in disbelief that we won the fkn lottery?? When his teammate (Donavon, I think his name was) basically said about him think "McDavid" on defense, I almost choked in happiness |

just a hunch here.... watch a name like Okposo or McCabe to be in a package piece in order to get what we want... #3 OVR with ROR of course - Watchtower62
I don't think Okposo would add value in a O'Reilly package at this point, and I kind of want to see him a year removed from his illness. He's a high character guy, and a very close friend with Tavares, for what it's worth (probably nothing). We do seem to have a glutten on 2nd line/3rd line dmen now, but McCabe is a favorite of Housley, so I'd be surprised if he's traded. Plus, I have his January 1st game used jersey (outdoor vs rangers) so want him to stay!! I also have Eichels and O'reilly's jerseys from the game (whoops). |

This was literally my reaction as well.
In hindsight, we were also told that Eichel was just a step behind McDavid but we all can be honest an say that Jack is not close to the same level as McDavid is. |

I was just reading on Twitter from Nichols that Calgary is dangling Hamilton again.
I'd take him in a minute but it would take someone like Reinhart to get him IMO.
Trade ROR, McCabe, and 32 for Patches and 3OA.
Trade Sam, Zemgus, and 2019 SJS 1st for Dougie and a pick/prospect. (maybe too much from us)
Leaves us a huge gap on RW then w/ Okposo and Pommer?
Patches - Jack - Zadina
Nylander - ROR - Okposo
Asplund - Casey - Pommer
Scandella - Risto
Dahlin - Dougie
Guhle - Bogo
maybe?????????????????? Lol - JVince11
Dream lineup, but you traded ROR. Replace ROR with Tavares!!

Zadina Eichel Reinhart
Pacioretty Mittelstadt ??? - Mentalorgasm5
I don't think Okposo goes anywhere and if he does it's not to Montreal
Zadina Eichel Reinhart
Pacioretty Mittelstadt Okposo
That's a good looking top 6 |

Bulldog was talking yesterday about what doors a ROR trade could open up. He didn't quite get here, but got me thinking if he goes with minimal salary coming back, maybe just maybe, the Sabres could get Tavares. How would the top 6 look then? Can you imagine!? Holy S |

I just don't think Casey is ready for full-time 2C duties to be dropped on his lap. |

If anything I would use the money saved on moving ROR and get a really good 3C center for around $3-4 million to play the hard zone minutes for Casey.
I know Tavares could work for 3 years but with Casey, Dahlin and then Zadina getting new contracts it would be really tough to fit all of them in.

Zadina Eichel Reinhart
Pacioretty Mittelstadt ??? - Mentalorgasm5
If the Sabres get 3, I bet it's a bigger deal and ROR and Reinhart are included.
Pacioretty and 3 for ROR and Reinhart (with other pieces both sides)
Bergevin can sell his fans he got a #2 pick back, who also played really well with Domi in the World Juniors, gets 2 potential top centers they are desperate for.

I wouldn't include him in that deal. If that means no Pacioretty, I'm fine with that. I just can't make sense of trading a 23-year old 25 goal scorer for a 30-year old on an expiring contract |

Youre not. Youre trading him for the 3rd overall pick. |

Article says with the cap going up the Sabres can pay 2 players 10 mill a year and still contend. |

Yeah I am not moving Reinhart, they can keep Pacroiretty then
Reinhart is cost controlled still (I know he is due a new contract) is younger, and just scored 25 goals in a season where he started off awful.
I have faith that he is a 60 point player this season |

So ROR for Patches? That's a pass from me. Expiring contract older guy for a known quantity.
I'd do the Reinhart deal and take ROR elsewhere |

Depends on what this admin feels of Zadina or whomever they have their eyes on at 3 which might be Tkachuk and Reinhart. |

Well... I can see it. Concern for me is that HOPEFULLY Dahlin and Casey are two mor people who will be deserving of that pay grade.
When guys like Bogo/Pommer and maybe Okposo are gone in a few years... that is just that much more cap space but still.... others will coup that cap. |

They aren't just one for one trades.
Reinhart isnt enough for the 3rd overall pick, therefore you include ROR, and they include Pac. |

What's it cost in picks to make up the difference between ROR and 3OA, or Reinhart and 3OA? I'd rather do that deal |
