Steve - the Sharks are quickly getting up in age, at least their primary players that would attract Tavares, do you think this'll weigh in on his decision? I'd say the Sharks window of opportunity is only a few more years with guys like Burns being 34 this season, Couture 29, Pavelski's 34, Thornton is 39, Vlasic is 31. |

I think that picture may drive him away, not convince him to go there. |

Yeah you are so right, all they can offer him is beer and bagels, cmon really? Well true if you don't look at the rookie of the year, who will help drive a top power play for years, quality draft picks in the pipeline, picked by a hall of fame GM with 3 rings, one of the top coaches in the league, one of the best practice facilities in the league. A brand new arena on the horizon, and loyalty to an organization determined to bring back a greatness that few organizations have ever known. But yeah bagels, which by the way are better then anything you can get there, and don't get even get me started on pizza!!! |

The maple leafs make more sense than any team. Extremely young and talented kids, Great coach, he’ll be playing in his homeland. The leafs window should be open for a long time. |

Trotz, Barzal and this year's draft haul (I'd say they had arguably the best draft out of any team) are definite selling points and shows that they're moving in the right direction.
I'd say short term, Sharks are definitely the better team. Isles are still suspect when it comes to defense and goal tending.
If I'm Tavares, I'm debating if I want a chance at winning the cup now or 3 or 4 seasons down the road. |

Tavares on San Jose would be deadly. So many options on the wing: Kane, Meier, Donskoi, and Hertl. He would create so many match-up nightmares especially with Couture, Pavelski as the other centers. Power play would be super dangerous, imagine Tavares, Pavelski, Couture, Burns and Kane. It would be an embarrassment of riches. |
