as of now
if something really bad, like eichel and casey are out for a handful of games
we are not stuck with a mair like player as our second line center
all good things |

I say we're gonna be good every year, but why not say it again this year? If we can have a healthy year like tml got in 16-17, we should be in the race for the 7-8 spot |

Still tbd...
a 3rd line of Sobatka-Berglund-Pommer?
is certainly better than what we’ve had...
but playing a defensive role,
idk how much we can expect them to contribute offensively
Top2 lines will have to score a lot
And line 4 will have to be able to at least chip in here & there |

Average goaltending and this team is fighting for a playoff spot.
Above average goaltending this team makes the playoffs.
Hutton picking up where he left off last season for 50 plus games and this team could win a playoff round or two.
All of this is hypothetical of course and just on paper.
I still think there’s another bigger move to be made...
This Kessel or RNH discussion that homie brought up is very interesting.
Assuming they could move one of Pomminville or Sobotka/Berglund (like homie said one of them might not be here long when the trade first happened) they could afford him.
I still would like one more RHD in the fold and like 2 less LHD. |

I see 7 teams in for sure unless something goes bad for them
Tampa, Boston, Toronto
Pitt, Wash, C bus, Philly
So i think we are in the running for the last spot with:
Florida, Jersey, Carolina & NyR
We are gonna need just about everything to work out for us to get in,
but i think we are FINALLY headed in the right direction either way |

Karlsson, Stone & Duchene are all UFAs,
likely to get traded
Tkachuk isn’t gonna sign
And... they’re probably gonna finish bottom3 this year & the AVs have their pick
*and watch them win the lotto for the final nail in the Sens coffin
I wanna say i feel bad for them,
But naaaaaaaaaa

Okposo was the most coveted FA of the year when he signed, as well. Still remains to be seen if it works out, but it was thought to be a big get when we got him. |

Michael, as always
Great read.
it's not fair to give jbotts such little credit for securing dahlin? I think gmtm is getting too much credit for what occurred this past season. Sure some were carryover guys. Jbotts locked dahlin down, another genius move.
Jbotts put the final touches on the 2017-18 year.
Well played

I like kyle, but it's looking like a bad signing. Most of all an overpayment $.
A lot of teams may have wanted him, but we clearly put up one of the higher bids and term. |

I have no issues going with
berglund
e-rod
dirty pod racer
girgens
as our centers for a short stretch
plus asplund could be called up
so much better then mair as our second line center |

Were stacked with real nhl players now.
Any chance the Sabres move sam if this contract impasse continues.
