I think the fun this year will be to see what players step up and what ones fall back.
Not everything will go wrong as some predict and not all will go right as the other side predicts |

Last year Boeser really made watching the team worthwhile, this year I'm hoping Pettersson has the same effect. I think that kid is gonna be a star! |

There’s lots of reasons to watch this season. I don’t expect us to win a ton, but there should be plenty to cheer for. Hopefully we’ll have a player in the Calder race to make the final stretch interesting. If not, watching the future core figure it out and develop some chemistry will still be better than the last few seasons. |

With another year under his belt I expect JV to break out. By that I mean more minutes & more confidence. Hoping he seizes the chance & leads by hard work.
Leipsic is very interesting i just don’t know who he bumps. It always comes back to Gagner 1st if not then Granlund i guess.
As for Bo Brock & EP i’m curious who EP gets to play with. I’m no fan of breaking up what works.
Logjam of F’s still begs for a trade if all are healthy to start the season. |

Maybe a chasm is between exciting & wortwhile? Personally speaking i was positive Brock would be a stud. Watching UND he was dominant & dangerous all the time. Last lethal snipers coming to mind are Bossy & Laine. |

For the first two years probably. But there is no way they entered last season thinking that was possible. It appears they foolishly banked on the Sedins maintaining a high level of play in their mid 30’s - CanuckDon
Jim has said the team plans to compete for a playoff spot every season he has been here, even at the start of last season. He will say the same thing again at the beginning of this season, because he believes in this group, and I for one believe in his decisions. If it wasnt for injuries this team would have been in the playoffs last year |

He's not, but there's always a chance we'll score when he's on the ice |

None of this years drafted kids are on there but it's a good read. Prez should have a look at who's number one - LeftCoaster
Don't talk to me.
Very biased rankings. They include under 21 roster players like patrick, proverov, sanheim etc... ridiculous to include non caliber goalie players as prospects.
So no they aren't number 1. |

I think Leipsic and Goldobin will be fighting for a spot, Granlund and Gaunce, Gaudette is more puzzling. Will he actually have a legitimate chance to make the team? If Horvat, Sutter and Beagle are your first three C's, is it Gagne as the 4th? A good problem to have with all this depth! |

If they inject a couple kids into the lineup then yes there's reasons to watch this year, which I think a couple of them will make the team. They've gotta keep the fan base interested.
I have a feeling Gadjovich is going to surprise and have a really good camp. He's really improved his stride and he's a big body, that bodes well for the club. |

They are number one because they have the best pool, Hextall is God, probably the best GM in the league while we're saddled with one of the worst |

There is less separating the two than you suggest. Both have a great grasp of the game and where it's going. Both have had sone solid picks the past few years, but JB hasnt had the same resources because he has had to rebuild two teams in the same time frame. |

No....Hextall is way better because he has a vision and plan, Benning has no plan and is just trying to appease his master. Benning is just throwing poop against the wall until something sticks. |

This year will be a carbon copy of last year in terms of points IMO but at least they won't have the slow Sedins, they'll have a couple new kids (hopefully) making it more interesting to watch. |
