Carol Schram: Brock Boeser keeps scoring summer-league goals but gets no love from NBC Though Brock Boeser continues to tear up Da Beauty League in Minnesota as its leading scorer with playoffs approaching, his Vancouver Canucks are one of just two teams that won't appear on NBC's national U.S broadcasts in 2018-19.

Not surprised Canucks left off list. Bad hockey does not sell.

Thanks Carol,

Actually hilarious that dipietro was left off that list. Just to recap, 2 goalies with worse numbers, drafted after dipietro (not that it matters), and 1 goalie who has gone undrafted twice, were on the list, but dipetro, memorial cup winner, mens world cup invitee was left off. Hard not to sound biased, but button is straight crazy.

Technically, Rodrigue was drafted two spots higher—but one year later. And Button didn't suggest Welsh would make the cut either.

But your bottom line is spot on. Either Button's putting a lot of stock in DiPietro's one bad half-a-game in Kamloops or he just flat-out forgot about him when putting his list together.

'Hart trophy winner Taylor Hall'...

Still can't wrap my head around that one.

all goalies are good for one half bad game in these tournaments. Still surprising he was left off.

Actually, I think it's the Oilers who will regret not drafting Dobson. Quinn's fine. My early take on Evan Bouchard is a lot more moderate.

I should have screen-shotted the original version! He has been added now—there were only two goalies initially.

Thanks for mentioning—I'll update the text in my main blog.

lol ya ironically enough the Oil made the PO's after Halls first year gone...then Hall wins the Hart the year after and the Oil can't make the PO's.

A lot of talk around here that Hall wanted the Oil to be 'his' team and co-existing with McJesus was going to be an issue. Hard to say how much of that is true but I'm sure it was a factor somewhat...it kept popping up.

Imagine the oilers keeping hall, keeping the barzal pick over reinhart, drafting dobson, keeping eberle. What a bunch of muppets over in the oilers managements.

I am not sold on Hughes as a potential #1, maybe a 4/5 guy, Dobson I see as a future #1, at worst a #2.
Just my opinion though.

Hughes as a 2nd or 3rd pairing guy at best?

Me too. Lol.
Btw Not trying too be negative about the pick, I just don't like to get all excited about certain types of players.

I think Hughes can be #1-#2 defense man.

Dobson was my pick until Arizona went off the board. I think think the Islanders got lucky as I would have taken Dobson over Bouchard if I was Edmonton
