You could easily replace Holland with Benning and print this on Canucks Army. I guess my response would be, why does it have to be one way or the other? Signing an Eriksson reeks of desperation to remain competitive while the results clearly show any number or less expensive replacement players could have accomplished the same result, and potentially yielded an extra pick at some point during the life of the contract.

I don’t really care. I don’t hate the Leafs, or the Blue Jays, but it is the same media groups pushing this BJ fever on us and I really don’t see the difference.

I’m a Canuck fan because of ‘82, when I was an impressionable youth, and because they were the “home town” team. I’m also a Detroit Tigers fan because of Sparky Anderson and wold series titles yo (plus Magnum PI and his luscious chest hair). Miami Dolphins because Dan Marino was so freaking hot back then.

My step brother is an Islanders / Sabres fan, because of the great players in the ‘80’s.

I also think that steel is stronger than flesh, because I’ll take Conan over Thulsa Doom any day!

Ultimately, you would think i would hate them based on the "center of the universe in the media" type poop that gets pushed on everyone within canada 24/7, buts its mainly just their fans mentality. I find it so hard not to generalize, but i haven't yet met one respectable leaf fan in person, they are all bumholes lol (when it comes to their team).
Liking a team cause their good is just being an impressionable youth. Thats why i know so many people in my dads age group (50-65) who are habs fans. I cant fathom any other reason why people outside of quebec would like them otherwise lol
