I think he would need to get rid of more then that. Karlsson alone would take the salary of those two. Then you still have 13 million for 12 players then. Very do able. depending on how much the cap goes up too though.
JB should be in on getting Callahan + for a pick or pooptier prospect.
30 million in cap space with only Boeser to sign. - manvanfan
I'm still sceptical that this team is seriously looking to take on bad contracts. |

Since 2009, annual production of automobiles in China exceeds that of the European Union or that of the United States and Japan combined.

need long term strategy/thinking to compete. the west seems to be lacking. - RealityChecker
Crazy. The west has been so wrapped up in our own success we are ignoring what’s happening around us.
I just read an article about India’s space initiative. They are actually leading the world in space launches in the past 10 years. Their space program is considered world class.
US falling behind on many, many fronts. |

Who do people think is going to be the highest scorer on this team and what Point Total?
They were arguing about it on the radio the other day. Not so much who it is, but what his point totals will be. |

At this point in time, i'd say it would have to be a for a short term contract that will be bought out next season and a prospect that is further along.
2.6 and 1.6 would be for Callahan but I doubt he's waving his NTC to come to a poop team like Van that's already overloaded with garbage players on the front end. |

Yeah sure.
They were saying Boeser between 75-80. I mean he may be on that pace for a little bit but that is crazy point totals.
I thought that was incredibly optimistic. |

I say he gets injured again (not seriously) but it will effect his totals. I say 50-60. |

Boeser or Horvat at 60-65 if they play 82 games. Their 5v5 scoring should go up with more o-zone starts, but I think the 1st PP unit will take a step back unless EP replaces the playmaking lost by the Sedins.
EP is the wildcard of course, I wouldn't be shocked if he came in with a Boeser-like rookie season, he's that freakin good. But who knows how he'll adjust to N/A ice.

Agree.
Luongo contract has too be considered if/when they ever do one of those trades, as he could retire at anytime.
Luongo cap hit would be 2.2 for 4 more years if he retires this year, 2.9 for 3 seasons, if he retires after the next season, 4.2 or so the following season and 8. Something on the final year. |

the rise of nationalism and isolationism in the west (no need to argue the cause) leads to protectionist trade policies and isolationist foreign policy. china fills the vacuum.
it's crazy when the traditional free trade people advocate protectionism. up is down. left is right. we're in a crazy world. |

so you didn't believe kesler wanted out and can't believe that the league would be so petty as to screw over a few teams because bettman couldn't punish them under the old cba?
dude... i hate to tell you but there's no santa clause either. |

The guys on Sportsnet have Boeser reaching 70+
I am confident that no player on this team touches 70 points.
They may be on pace for 70 but they'll be injured. |

I mean the Sedins got a poop load of o-zone starts last year despite the team being crap.
If Green uses 1 or even both of Sutter/Beagle in the Malhotra role again then the top line should get spoonfed a poop load of o-zone starts.
