I do & I don’t. Seldom it is i can agree with them. On the PatCast i do find Botch pretty agreeable a lot the time. Drops f bombs which is quite hilarious. At other times on TV he is hell bent on sensationalizing too much. Patterson though is a nimrod all of the time. One thing that definitely comes through is Botch is a big fan & i like Hirsch & his honesty as well. Ferraro doesn't mince his words & I like that. I wish he was ready to be our Prez. He speaks at ppl not to ppl & that is needed here. - Nighthawk

Both Ferraro & Green would be forceful.
2 guys driving the bus on their ends & leave it to JB Judd & Jack to do personnel decisions. Ray would control UFA signings & oversees them & final say on contracts.
They both were hard working during their careers & survived the hurdles & would bring that to the table. |

I always wonder who else is out there and has a little more experience?
we saw the inexperience rub on the TL & JB management group, it was their first go at their respective positions. and they hire first time nhl coach and promote a first timer from Utica.
wonder if FA is scared to hire someone with any front office experience? |

Ed Willes...
• It’s obvious by now that the Vancouver Canucks have a better chance of trading for Elvis Presley than Erik Karlsson but the story here isn’t whether Jim Benning was serious about pursuing the Ottawa defenceman.
It’s what it says about the Canucks in the post-Linden era.
Linden, the recently deposed president, lost his job because he favoured a patient, methodical approach to the team’s rebuild. He’s since told friends the Aquilinis wanted no part of that plan and when Benning presented a more aggressive approach, which included an offer sheet for John Tavares, Linden was dumped.
Karlsson would seem to be part of this new, aggressive approach. This is the third occasion — Karlsson, Tavares, P.K. Subban — in which Benning has made noises about pursuing a marquee name, which likely plays well with ownership.
But it leaves the faithful to wonder what is the vision for this team. The Canucks lone strength is its prospect pool. It’s the only reason their fan base haven’t given up on this team.
So is the plan now to peel off three or four of those young assets to land a star? That’s the only way you’re going to land a Karlsson-type player and Benning knows that. He should also know making that kind of deal will further alienate a fan base whose patience has been worn to a nub.
It’s just the latest example of an organization which trips all over itself trying to tell its story. The Canucks’ direction remains muddied but one thing is clear. They’re not going to win back consumer confidence by changing course again. - LeftCoaster

It would be pretty disappointing if EP has 35 points. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t score 50 plus.

For Prez of hockey ops its more open.
I’d say FA wouldn’t like an alpha ego like Ray |

I have a feeling he only plays 50 or so games. I think the adjustment to NA will be difficult for him. |

Yup I agree, give him 25 games in Utica. |

I like Ray but they’re not going to bring in a media personality with zero management experience. |

I think he's going to treat him the same way he treated Brock to start the season. Boeser was scratched even after a great pre-season and had to work his way up the lineup. - Nucker101
that was a genius move. look at the end result. kid was gassed those last 2 preseason games.
if you couldnt see that you dont know hockey jks |

You think he will be injured or play in utica? He will probably struggle at 5v5 to start but I expect he puts up points right away on the PP. I’dont see any scenario he isn’t on the first PP unit with Bo and Boeser |

The way we are now built the top 2 lines will get tons of time to score IMO |

If nothing else i want to see more mental toughness out of team as a whole. Bo & Brock & Tanev & Sutter lead the way but some others gotta ramp it up. JV & Goldy & Hutton come to mind & gotta step it up & be more prominent & consistent. Character is tested in the face of adversity & leaders are born if they refuse to be followers.
Rah rah shish boom bah 😜 - Nighthawk
Fair call. Baertschi, Granlund and Pouliot too (plus Eriksson ofc).
Stecher flicked that switch late last year and hopefully it continues. |

Injury is definitely a possibility but I think he gets sent down to Utica at some point. I agree he will get his PP points but green is a big believer in the AHL and if EP struggles 5v5, I think they send him down. |

More food for thought...
On Bo as our Captain. Do 3 A’s til the leadership group formulates now that the Sedin’s are gone. Once its developed make Bo the C then whether during the season or next idc. Spare him the pressers til we get this well on the rails again - Nighthawk
Yes. or Sutter fills in for a year or two.
In JB's 1040 call it sounded like Bo is pretty much a lock, but maybe not this year. |

We shall see. I’d be shocked if he spends even one game in Utica. Our team sucks and I think he is already our second best winger. He will definitely be the most fascinating storyline this year as no one knows how he will adapt to the NHL |
