I didn't know someone, especially a professional athlete, could be 6'3" and only weigh 160 pounds (maybe Manute Bol?). But glad they signed him, he didn't seem too out of place in my limited viewing. |

The organizational depth at defense was what made me think they were going to pick K'Andre Miller. I still wish they went there, but I do like JOB. |

That's actually pretty typical for a lot of taller teens. It often takes a while to fill out especially if their growth was a rapid spurt. Depending on his frame and build, he could be anywhere from 180-200+ by the time he is 21-22. |

Sucks about your back. Hope you feel amazing though. Usually with stuff like that even through recovery you feel the best you have in a long time. My friend's dad just got screws put in his cervical vertabrea to realign them and he said once anesthesia wore off he felt the best he's ever felt.
Hoping for a quick recovery nonetheless. You're the man hammar |

Seconded. Haven't had an injury like that and hope I never do. Sounds super painful.
I'm 44 and still playing about 50 or 60 games in goal a year and it's a pounding on knees, hips lower back and groin.
I have to stretch a lot and do some yoga if you can believe that. Seems to help.
Get better soon hammar

My pre draft year....I weighed about 165....at ‘6,3’....then you fill out.....the program had me listed at 195....lol. Which my mom loved to tease me about....back then they asked asked guys....what do you weigh ? I lied...now a days I would have to lose a limb to get down to 220.

I think at the time of the draft that there were way more forwards ranked around 14 and 19. I wouldn't have minded moving back from 19, but you wouldn't have gotten Miller anyway.

Bill,
I'm a huge fan and look forward to your posts. I have two questions.
It was reported on the first day of camp that Morin has been skating by himself. How does he look and is there any idea when he may return or at least be a non-contact participant in practice?
I don't have access to the preseason games but I see that Carter Hart's box-score numbers seem solid. How has he looked in practices during training camp? Is he standing out or have his chances increased of making the big club? (I'm guessing, with Hexy's philosophy, he'd rather have Hart do a season as 'The Man' in Lehigh rather than a back-up on the big club, so he'd have to outperform everyone, but I'm wondering what your opinion is)
Thanks! |

Morin's timetable is the same. Can't rush an ACL rehab. He is only doing very light skating.
Hart is having a good camp and was excellent in Wednesday's game. Zero chance he makes the opening night roster unless both a vet and Stolarz get injured. |

Zamula was about 170 pounds at camp. Still rail-thin, obviously, but he's only 18 and he's going to slide back to the WHL this season and next season. By age 20, the weight should be in the mid 180s at least. |

Has he shot an 11-year-old yet? He's only 18, so I'm assuming he doesn't have a wife to divorce him. |

Last year, I think the CSN Philly (now NBCSP) broadcasters were in studio and calling the game off a monitor. This year, it is stream only. Not sure if Smitty doing the call as he did on Wednesday.
