I missed most of the PP time so I didn’t catch it. I’m thinking he was since PP1 had some moving parts with G, Simmer, and Couts out. PP2 i saw Patrick, Konecny, and Provorov.

Islanders tied it up on stolarz. Konecny came back to make it 2-1 two min later

Vorobyev and Myers are making this team. Myers is a lock. Vorobyev is a major liability on faceoffs but that shouldn’t be enough to keep him off the roster. Vorobyev has a top 9 skill set for sure it would be tough to put him on the 4th line.

I’m not sure what you do about him on faceoffs. It’s bad. Let him work through it this year? Put Laughton on his line to take them? You can’t keep him off the roster.

Unfortunately so far I don’t see twarynski pushing weise off this team. And lehtera is definitely a lock. I like twarynski but he’s not making the team. I haven’t seen NAK yet that seems like our only shot at dispatching weise to LHV

Vorobyev has a real 200 foot game. Can’t believe he is doing so well. Maybe the 3C we have been looking for. And the price is right.

I think Myers is going to be a solid NHL defenseman with a chance to be a real good one. I think we're going to find that against NHL competition, his game still needs significant refinement. The question is can he do that playing in the NHL. I think if MacDonald wasn't hurt, Myers would start in the AHL but likely will make the team out of camp. I really like Voroboyev. He looks like a player. I still see a match up and game situations issue though unless Laughton can take on that role.

I would like to see Vorobyev and Laughton attached to the hip to mitigate that. He’ll grow into that part of his role, but his 200 ft game is already developed.

His faceoffs should improve over time, but for D zone draws you can either put Laughton or even Raffl out there to take the draw.
