I think Myers is going to be a solid NHL defenseman with a chance to be a real good one. I think we're going to find that against NHL competition, his game still needs significant refinement. The question is can he do that playing in the NHL. I think if MacDonald wasn't hurt, Myers would start in the AHL but likely will make the team out of camp. I really like Voroboyev. He looks like a player. I still see a match up and game situations issue though unless Laughton can take on that role.

It’s those tight areas and windows that Myers needs work on. Need to keep him up and have him work through it at the nhl level imo

Vorobyev and Myers are making this team. Myers is a lock. Vorobyev is a major liability on faceoffs but that shouldn’t be enough to keep him off the roster. Vorobyev has a top 9 skill set for sure it would be tough to put him on the 4th line.

I’m not sure what you do about him on faceoffs. It’s bad. Let him work through it this year? Put Laughton on his line to take them? You can’t keep him off the roster.

Unfortunately so far I don’t see twarynski pushing weise off this team. And lehtera is definitely a lock. I like twarynski but he’s not making the team. I haven’t seen NAK yet that seems like our only shot at dispatching weise to LHV

I agree with you on Vorobyev and Myers. I've really liked Twarynski's game, but he is probably a casualty of the numbers game. I think his presence is to push guys like Raffl, Lehtara, and Weise.

No question here. One of the best play drivers on the team. He'll never score 20 goals again but if he can find that finishing touch again he should be good for 12-14 goals

If he is on the 4th line that goal total would be fantastic. Raffl can also move up to fill in for injuries.

15 of the 33 players from Hextall's first season are no longer in the NHL. That's probably a normal level of attrition, but it's interesting to see these old names, some of whom were major contributors just a few years ago. The list doesn't include Hartnell (36), who's also out of the league.
