So what you're saying is that the leafs actually have two top 10 dmen?

You can throw that "new model" in the trash. Any model that leaves out Doughty, Keith, Ek-Larsson, Hedman, and even Carlson , amongst a few others is not even worth considering. The last five names on that list are laughable to even be mentioned in the top 10. Next.....

Kieth is very much in decline, Carlson can’t defend to save his life, and Doughty is only ever as high as the 10 spot.

But yeah, OEL and Hedman are unforgivable. I’m curious about it.

BTW.....several of you scoffed at my suggestion last week of putting Perrault as center between Laine and Ehlers. My theory was that you need a hard-working center like Perreault to do a lot of the dirty work that Laine and Ehlers still seem to lack and then just let Laine and Ehlers do what they are best at. I'm glad Maurice is at least trying this combo out and for the very same reasons I mentioned. They need a "battler on that line".

Let's see how the experiment turns out. I can't see it being worse than Little being in the middle. That combo just ain't cutting it.

As scary as the Copp/Lowry duo is, I still want to see Lowry get a shot between them.

Personally, I’d like to see this for a game:

Connor-Scheifele-Roslovic
Fun!

Laine-Lowry-Wheeler
All the support Laine can possibly have

Perreault-Little-Ehlers
Never should’ve ended

Petan-Copp-Dano
Worked in the past, will work even better now
