You know what I like about the Sabres there is always an excuse for why they lose. I went last night and that team looked exactly like the teams for the past 5 years. What part of a system makes it hard to pass the puck 15 feet to another teammate with no one close and not being able to do it. My Mom could have made the pass I am referring to and she is in a home and uses a walker. It is like watching soccer because for maybe 45 minutes of the game you get "0" feeling that they are going to score.

I am glad I did not waste my money on the NHL package to watch the same product. How can they be that lethargic on opening night? They should be embarrassed at their performance as Boston was not that dominating regardless of what this blog says. We have no emotion, none and any time we get a player that tries to play that way, we bury in the minors. Oh yeah, Sheary,Berglund and Sobotka are upgrades over Bailey and Ogilvie what a great use of our cap space. Remind me again why Pominville is still getting a regular shift while we banished Moulson? I miss Kaleta!
What a shame as I can't watch them and its only the first game.

Phil Housley's choices for coaches is bad.

Just a correction: Buffalo does not start the western roadie in Denver. That game is in Buffalo. The Sabres play in the Can on Sat. 9 March.

You know what. For the first time in a long time, I am actually not worried. We did not lose that game for the same reasons in years past. We clearly look much quicker with more skill. The game was not from lack of effort. There was no chemistry at all. That is something we will build. Everyone feeling frustrated, wipe game 1 off and actually try not to stress for the first 10 games. This team will be good and will give us a reason to cheer this year. Just to let you know, I’m never this opportunistic but this year is different. I feel a change.

Well I didn’t pay to see that game because I did not expect anything glorious. You did have expectations for the first game so that’s your fault. Your the only one to blame with your lack of experience for the game. Anybody who understands the game knows chemistry comes with time and barely anyone on the team had that with each other. Don’t cry we will win more than lose this year

If you really are a Leaf fan you would know that since the Sabres came in to the NHL that the Sabres have been better than the Leafs more often than the Leafs over Sabres. Right now you guys are better. No argument here.
