Again, if you're dealing with Anaheim, Lindholm is the target, not Manson.

If it's St. Louis, Pietrangelo is more likely to be on the block than Parayko.

- Unholy_Goalie

why would Pietrangelo be more likely to be traded? He's a proven #1 and captain ... they don't have Melnyk in St.Louis you know?

Paryako has played someone sheltered minutes in may regards...

What a fantastic shot by Lindholm.

EDIT: Did you see that UG? I mean, you clearly watch more hockey than I do, so you obviously saw that goal live, right?

- GreatGigInTheSky

Nope, you're the only guy who watches hockey, everyone else just waits for your play by play.

Older, closer to being a UFA, more expensive for St. Louis to keep.
- Unholy_Goalie

blues won't have a problem signing him. he will get bump but it won't be something they can't handle.

and even if i were to agree with your points, they still aren't trading him for a winger.

plus. hometown discount.

Because St. Louis has limited cap space (currently 2nd least in the NHL) and may choose to keep the younger, cheaper RHD rather than risk losing Pietrangelo for nothing if he walks as a UFA.

Hometown? Pietrangelo is from King City, Ontario bud, not St. Louis.

They might have a problem signing him if he wants 10. They do need to keep Schenn too. And replace Bouwmeester. Not as easy to keep him as you think.

I wouldn't say that I'm the only guy, because you clearly watch more than I do.

I like Montour

Manson is 27 and I doubt the Ducks would want to add too much to a Nylander trade.

But yes Manson would be an awesome fit for Rielly

- Santo_44

Trading nylander for either manson or montour would be a horrible trade for the leafs.
Jesus.
Maybe brown or johnsson

But i do like manson

Gotta target Lindholm. Nylander is the ticket to a top pair D. If they have to add to it, so be it, but it needs to be a top pair D. A 2nd pair D is needed but not the priority and not for Nylander.

Nylander's signing with the Leafs long term, I'll bet anyone a coupon for a super good back rub.

I think they would have to ad for a top pair, especially if he's still unsigned. Even signed, he's not worth a top pair dman of a similar age.

Anaheim is losing but have been the better team. Not by a lot, but still the better team.

Getzlaf being hurt isn't helping them. That's a big hole to fill. Henrique has failed at it so far.

Johansen for Jones. Depends on the team and the GM.

People like to say "Hall for Larsson" but what if it's Nylander for "obviously better top pair RHD". Leafs are allowed to win a trade for once aren't they?

Even if it's a "fair hockey deal", end of the day, Nylander is the central piece in acquiring a top pair RHD. If you waste him on Manson or Pesce or some other run of the mill 2nd pair D, you've wasted the chance to get what you really need.

Gibson has played well for the 3rd straight game. Despite his save% not being great tonight.

Centers are worth more than wingers. A potential #1 center may get you a potential #1 defender. A top line winger, unless they're a superstar, is less likely to fetch one of those other players imo.

But I do agree he could be the central piece in a deal, especially if he got signed to a bridge deal or something. Assuming the right circumstances and team comes along.

Boom! 2-2. Silverberg!

Or however the (frank) it's spelled.

EDIT: I don't think that's goalie interference.

What say you, UG? Since you're obviously watching this game live, too.
