I’m just saying you have to give to get
Montour and Pullock are both good young D men. If they can get one of them plus a good draft pick or something. They can use that at the TDL to add as well. - Santo_44
I hope the above ok D were mentioned in some nylander trade? |

Yup, looks like he'll be in the press box for his return to Toronto and his Appreciation video, assuming they do one which I'm sure they will.

They are good D.
I just can't really think of any one for ones that would be available.
Maybe Parayko but if I was STL I would say no |

Everyone looks at nylander as a wing but I think he could easily go somewhere and be a nick Backstrom style center. He's already good at draws. Wouldnt be surprised if he went somewhere and ended up being their 1st line centre in time making the leafs look like idiots for trading him for a 2nd pairing dman. Not talking so much about parayko. More so all the pesce trouba pulock Manson talk. |

Well what about the opposing team?
I’m sure they are worried that the D they trade away becomes what Seth Jones is for the Jackets.
It goes both ways and we can’t just say Nylander is worth so much more because he has potential. Players on opposing teams have potential as well. Every trade in the NHL is a risk. |

I would just wait to trade him if they're going to. Its pretty realistic 5o think he will put up a pt per game season in the next few years. Also he's only playing wing because of the leafs centre depth. If one of the leafs big 3 go down you might see him move to the middle. If he does well that'll boost his value. I don't know why everyone is in such a rush to trade him like it has to be this year. |

Signing him long term at 6-6.75 is a win for the Leafs. That’s what the goal is.
However with Willie, he might simply just be looking for a high paycheck. If this is the case the Leafs have to trade him. He’s behind Matthews, Marner, Tavares and you can even make a case for Rielly and Andersen.
And idk, I would put the under on him getting a PPG. He won’t be on the first pp unit. They aren’t taking their leading PP point getter in Kadri off. That will take a hit on his point totals.
Like I said, signing him long term to a reasonable cap hit fixes everything. But it might just not work out that way and that’s just business. |
