Is taking a chance bringing Schneider back really worth it though? Not sure on that one. I like him as a goalie and still think he could be top quality but... - LordHumungous
His number have been in decline the last two seasons. Don't need him. Van has Nilsson. |

Eriksson can not be bought out. If Schneider sucks you can buy him out |

You are missing the point . You get out of Erikssons contract and Markstroms last year . |

This is exactly what you do to me, ignore the parts that make sense and focus on one stupid bit of a post and then becomes your narrative. Now you are the guy who wants to reacquire Schneider, not the guy with a creative solution to getting rid of Eriksson.
PS, I like your idea, I would be all for it |

You would be much better to just buy out Eriksson at the start of the next year. |

Neither. Without Bob you could get some actual decent forwards. |

It is a win win. If Schneider sucks buy him out cap hit two mil per not six like LE and we also get rid of that black hole of a goalie Markstrom |

You don't get it . There is very little savings in buying out Loui his contract is all bonuses which don't offer any savings. You would be better sending Loui down at least then you could save 1 mil a year. |

Eriksson 16 mil buy out
Schneider 12 . That is also assuming Schneider is total garbage and needs to be bought out and is not qualified for LTIR
Add on Marksstroms 3.6 mil Canucks save close to 8 mil |
|
|
|
So now you want to send Loui down instead of trading him? - manvanfan
Are you staying up too late with the baby?
I said sending him down is a better option that buying him out. Pay attention
Buying out LE Canucks would pay 16 mil in cap hit of his 18 mil over the next 6 years and 14.5 of it in the next three years.
Sending him down would cost Canucks 14.4 mil in the next three years in cap hit. |

So you are paying Schneider plus you then need a starting and back up goalie. I don' see the savings anywhere.

Who cares about how much he is getting paid. The cap hit is what matters. Funny thing is I don't care what they do with LE. Just think the trade is stupid. |

Schneider and Nilsson this year, Schneider and Demko next year, Demko and Schneider (if he can still play) or other. If Demko isn't the answer they need a starter and a backup anyway... |
