A better idea would be Doughty for Nylander, Kadri and a pick. - CupOnBroadSt.

If you were to read back, you would see that i wrote DD for WN +. Leafs have lots of tradable assets and picks.
Kopitar is yesterdays NHL..
Either way, like i said.. i don't want Doughty, but the Kings need to inject some youth and speed into that offence because right now its total dogpoop and should be embarrassed to call itself an NHL team. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Trading doughty is not the answer. I did see the + And still say no it’s an awful idea |

Trading Carter "maybe but not yet" is definitely not the answer
Kings gotta do something to get faster and they have to do it fast..
That Kopitar contract is not looking that hot right now.. |

How will trading carter help at this point right now? Please enlighten me with your intelligence.
Can I see it happening at draft. Yes. |

LOL I’m not expecting them to win this year or next. Trade some roster players not named doughty or Kopitar and see where it goes.

Truth is, he's done... Kings held onto him and got good value out of him, but he's yesterdays NHL... Id trade him to a team like STL who still has a chance of being a playoff team for picks..
You need to stock up on picks |

I understand Kings need to stock up on picks. That’s what muzzin Martinez and Pearson are for. |

lol.. ok good..
wouldn't you rather just rip the band-aid off tho?
start down the path of a younger, faster, more exciting team opposed to slow older guys?
have something to look forward to..
Nylander would put butts in seats tbh... |

Not at the expense of Kopitar or doughty is what I’m getting at. Yes Nylander would be great. Shedding salary and getting draft picks would be great too |

Winning is all that matters in the end..
The current trajectory doesn't look promising.
I'd like to see the Kings turn it around and become a big American draw again. It would be the perfect spot for Hughs. |

Mike Smith has been less than solid for Calgary...and is in the final year of his contract....I am starting to hear rumors that the Flyers may have interest there...

How he could think kopitar is yesterday’s news is beyond me. Now, the kings being awful, slow, and yesterday’s news I can understand this. Every kings fan is asking for Stevens gone and a new regime to start. Get the kids going, get faster. If that means lottery pick so be it. Look at Colorado, Toronto, Carolina they were we’re all bottom feeders loading up on top 5 to #1 picks and they all have turned it around using those picks.... again, I’m ok with a lottery pick this year from this poop show of a kings team |

Flames looking to trade smith??? Where do I sign up!!! Smith has looked shaky ever since he went down with his injury last year. The team does not play well in front of him but he needs to steal some games. Look at Gibson in Anaheim. They are giving up as many dangerous chances as the flames but Gibson gives Anaheim a chance to win every night. Smith is done and is handcuffing the flames chances to win. Trade him now, rittich is equal if not better now which will give Treliving time to find a true starter or finally see what we have in rittich. Either way smith does not fit the picture anymore |

Muzzin to the NYI or MTL huh?
Well NYI may be looking to get rid of Ho Sang maybe. I don’t know too much about him since his draft year and him being a brat kid. But maybe that’s where the deal goes.
Kings I’m sure are looking for something in return but also maybe shed some salary. Idk.
What I do know is losing the rest of this season wouldn’t be all too bad, I mean they aren’t winning poop this year.
MTL I have no clue who the kings would want. If it was a couple years ago I’d say Tatar but who knows at this point. No idea who’s really in their prospect pool. Maybe MB will be dumb enough to give the kings a 2nd rounder and call it a day. They did take King for what a 3rd? Yeah how’d that turn out? I hated king and laughed so hard that MTL and their fans thought he was a god send. He was a terrible player - KINGS67
It ended up being King for Mitchell, so you can keep sniffing glue and make stuff up...but yeah King sucked

The kings traded for a FOURTH rounder from MTL that could have become a THiRD whatever those conditions were (June 2017) I believe. They (Kings) received the FOURTH in the end in March 2017 (deadline). The kings then traded that same pick back to MTL to get Mitchell in an entirely different trade (NOV 2017).. Yes, MTL traded a decent round pick to get a bum in Dwight King who I wanted gone since 2012. |

I'm not really looking to get into this argument. Pretty much all the trade proposals thus far have been unrealistic.
Just wanted to point out that the Kings have a sellout streak of 294 games (regular season & playoffs) going right now, dating back to the 2011-12 season. Not sure they need any help putting butts in seats. |

Might change this year. But yeah kings have had no issues putting people in the seats and that’s with missing the playoffs two of the last four years while only having 1 playoff win. |

Doubtful it will change this season. Most of the tickets are season tickets that have already been sold. Game-day ticket sales are minimal and they generally don't have any trouble getting rid of those.
One more missed playoffs or poor postseason showing and they might have a lot more season ticket holders cancel on them, then they might be hard pressed to sellout games. |
