Kings got a fourth rounder for King. MB was looking for size and playoff experience. Didn't pan out.
If the habs could get Muzzin for a second round pick, they should.

Flyers need to quit looking for goalies and start to look for a coach. # years running:
1. Slow starts
2. Hot and cold power play
3. Terrible penalty killing
4. Going with low skill veterans rather than letting talented kids gain valuable experience

I’m all for this. Relieves cap and Kings get another pick.

Trade for a veteran defensman that can teach these young ones what to do. And get a new coach. Forget the goalie.

I understand Kings need to stock up on picks. That’s what muzzin Martinez and Pearson are for.
- KINGS67

Stocking up on picks are 1 thing, just don't see Muzzin, Martinez or Pearson getting anything significant.... maybe late 2nds or 3rds, but doubtful better.... depends on what Blake wants to do, prospects instead of picks could be possible too, something has to give though.

Aardvark isn't one of the bright ones, ignore him.

Kings shouldn't be trading from a position of weakness, which is what they would be doing if they try to unload Muzzin or Martinez right now. The Kings aren't as terrible as they have been playing lately. They're certainly not going to win the Pacific, but they'll be fighting for the 3P or wildcard spot down the stretch. Given their poor recent play (along with the rest of the team), Muzzin or Martinez wouldn't return nearly as much as they should.

With every ebb comes a flow, so I'd bet that the Kings will be back in the mix by American Thanksgiving. If they're playing well, yet still struggling to score and relying on their goaltender too much, then they can start shopping a surging Muzzin or Martinez to a team looking for a solid second pairing defenseman. Until then, the Kings shouldn't make any premature personnel changes, or they'd be taking an underpayment.

A better idea would be Doughty for Nylander, Kadri and a pick.

Sure, we might as well throw in Marner & Rielly too......

Its probably already been said, but unless Elliott or Neuvirth are going the other way, Hextall is not trading young players or picks for Mike Smith.

I know its temporary, this season, but don't know if this goes down. Alex Lyons is healed. Just bring him up. Truthfully, though I hope both our current goaltenders are done after this season, They truthfully have not been the reason for poor success this season. When you don't score, you can't win. These lines haven't seemed to blend well. Like the coach, I have no answer either

Flyers have been through 3 coaches and have had the same issues. Its beyond coaching its the core players. Laviolette being one of those coaches as well

maybe the Kings should just take the TOR model and go into a generation long rebuild and then pray for a ping pong ball to gift them a super star and then all the losing will be forgotten once they've actually shown up in the regular season and made some small noise in the playoffs... sounds good, do it Blakey. Kings are what they are: on the back 9 of a Stanley cup contending lifespan. Big deal. I've been around long enough to ride the ups and downs WITHOUT a Stanley cup, so I'll ride out this next little while too. I'm sure we'll get a couple of different front offices (just like TOR did) before we get off the ground again. I love hockey and this is just the way it goes.

Give Carter Hart a shot in nets. Better then going to the glue factory for some other old tired horse
- Snipeclan

No way. Why shell shock the kid with a team that won't defend in front of its own net? We'd turn a great prospect into Roman Cechmanek.

Islanders dont need muzzin. They need speed and a puck carrier on the back end.

Another rumor that makes no sense

They will bring toews up to try put before any move gets made.

Most islander fans agree thats toews needs to be in thr top 4

you can keep muzzin. the last thing the isls need is another 29 yr old player. just stick with the kids and let them play....

Oh I'm quite sure Muzzin and Martinez will get you 1sts at the TDL. Experienced dmen who have been through it all will look very appealing to teams with weak D, looking to make a run *ahem*... don't know enough about Pearson.

and back to that Kopitar being yesterday's NHL comment?? Won last year's Selke and nominee for the Hart...wtf??? Stop making us Leaf's fans look bad.

MTL I have no clue who the kings would want. If it was a couple years ago I’d say Tatar but who knows at this point. No idea who’s really in their prospect pool. Maybe MB will be dumb enough to give the kings a 2nd rounder and call it a day. They did take King for what a 3rd? Yeah how’d that turn out? I hated king and laughed so hard that MTL and their fans thought he was a god send. He was a terrible player

King for a 4th

Muzzin and Martinez aren't worth 1st Round picks.
