Imagine if panels and studio shows for hockey weren't dominated by former 3rd liners still bitter that they got phased out of the league because rookies had more talent with one arm than they had at any point?

I think the only good take-a-ways from NBC are the announcers Darren Pang (holy jumpin) and Eddie Olczyk (guy who just beat cancer). Don't always agree with either of them, but without them, NBC is complete amateur hour.

The only good talent at NBC is the guys they borrow from TSN.

Imagine a world where the NHL didn't lock themselves into an underpriced 10 year TV contract with only one network, and then the competition it would breed?

They're piggy backing games on ESPN+ right now, who are actually selecting decent matchups, but there is no studio or cable presence.

Every other live sports entity is going medium-short term on deals and getting themselves on literally any station they can. But not the NHL. Good thing the commish is going into the HOF this week.

I want 5 bucks from all the wieners arguing here in the summer that Leipsic deserved top line minutes and Goldobin should be in the AHL instead.

I wasn't aware of that story, but I imagine, due to his contract obligations, that he isn't able to make charitable appearances as easy as most.

Goldobin should be in the AHL... he's riding Peteys coattails in my opinion. He's picking up Anson Carter / Alex burrows points from a potential generational player , while adding basically nothing else to this team. Id give his spot to Archibald... atleast he may jump in and stick up for EP , maybe win a board battle or two .

I think Green gets pissed when a star player gets hit and no one responds. It could be the reason for the call up or maybe not ?

So Benning said on the radio that they had EP “way higher” on their draft list...so he was clearly a top 3 pick for them. We know they had Hughes near the the top as well. It’s almost as if we won a lottery pick the last two years as we would have got these guys if we had won 3rd pick both drafts anyways. Interesting to think about.
