Players like Biega & Archibald are safe to clear waivers & be call ups. Good depth when needed & no risk. |
|
|

It not always all about points, it's also the role in which specific players are used. I kinda agree with nighthawk about liking Archibald as a call up, but if he shows he can play 14 mins a night, and be an effective 4th line player, then they will have to make a change. - Makita
I wish Archie used his size a little more. |

Yahoo had him at 80 hits in 27 games last year
Schaller with 28 hits in 13 games this year |

Well I have stated several times that I like all 3 acquisitions, so part sarcasm to poke the faithful. - Makita
I don't mind the players and their roles. What I disliked was that management did the exact opposite of what they had been preaching all spring. I also thought they were overpaid and given more term than was needed. Again, they are good to decent players who fit their job descriptions, I was unhappy with the process, the lying and the buffoonery.
Eat my shorts.

When he first came here he was very aggressive but faded ( like N-Hawk says call ups are fine)

Yup, f*ck the salary cap.
Waiving is always an option as well. |

Not his fault that the country club culture told him to settle down and be a good boy |

Basically this. Archibald doesn't have the treads to be a real NHLer.
Roussell was the least worrisome of the twin contracts and he's playing well so far. Just wish at some point this team would collectively sack up when they get bullied. - Lindenis#1
I wonder if that is why Gaunce is not on the practice roster? A Canuck got rocked and Gaunce was right there and did nothing.

Who knows. But the attitude has to start at the top. Boeser has to be as willing to step in some poop as the guys that are "expected" to do it. |

@ Vintsy
Schaller 2 000 000 first line
Roussel 3 000 000 second line
This must be pissing you off - VANTEL
Not at all, if they are going to play and produce like first and second liners then Jimbo really is a genius. Burrows at $2.5m scoring 30 goals was a thing of beauty!
If they are going to play with the top players and continue to put up 4th line like numbers then yeah, I wouldn’t like that much.
I find it funny that you are cap conscious and look to squeeze $600k out of Hutton on a three year deal (or simply walk away) but you are all good with paying $8m to what should be your 4th line. If it isn’t our money than it isn’t our money for any player (even LE), but if managing the cap is important than managing it is important for all the players, not just the ones you like. |

Yeah but I suggested squeezing 600 k once
Do I need to let you know the number of times you mentioned the other contracts? |
