It is a weird thing. I was sort of thinking about this last night.

Do any other teams' broadcast spend most of the intermission talking about how things could or have gone wrong?

I mean i don't see too many Ducks or Preds or Panthers broadcasts, but do their broadcast team spend most of the time talking about the negative side of their team?

It's really strange listening to Leafs games. Not too much Leafs hockey is actually talked about. It's mainly faceoffs, shot totals (depending who has more), contracts and passed failures.

Last night Ferraro complained the Leafs were giving up too many shots and then comlained that they hadn't given up a shot for 5 and a half minutes and he was bored.

I think it was BOTH teams hadn't had a shot in 5.5 mins.

No wonder he was bored.

He's on the 1st line and only had more time due to being on the PK

5v5

Marner 18:28
Tavares 17:19
Hyman 16:22

Stop with the excuses. he got PP time as well and Kapanen got none.

Going to be tough nights when your best line is:

Brown/Lindholm/Johnsson

I do love their energy though.

If they work that hard every night, it will make the job far easier on the other guys however. Great energy.

Not making excuses or saying its right...but Hyman is just fine on the PK and that's where he got the extra time....he got 55 secs on the PP - no reason to fire the coach.

In Toronto there's this odd double-standard that you can't come across as a homer in any way. But if you travel throughout Canada, there are homers in all of the other cities and it's accepted.
I even noticed the week leading up to the JT signing no one even wanted to suggest the Leafs were a contending to sign him.

Hyman is a great player and should be Leafs' next Captain.

We do have Don Cherry, he doesn't hide the fact he's a Leafs fan.

After that we got no one.

Nylander is out - accept it.
Miller is a RHD, top4. Great skater, bit more physical than Gardiner, and a great shot on the PP.
He's cheaper as well than Gardiner - whom the Leafs will lose after this season.
Glass can play in NHL next year - and is at least as good as a player (in 2y) than Nylander is now.

The point is that Nylander is very likely not going to play for Leafs this season, and traded away.

So Pesce plus some other great peices is poop?

But Miller plus Glass is okay

Btw Dubas had a meeting with the Wilds GM...per Mirtle

And even Cherry cheers for the Bruins first.

That announcement on TSN Miller made about Tavares signing with the Leafs was funny. They were trying so hard to not show any emotion or they may get nasty emails.

The Leafs apparently will try Nylander one more time this week and then will start a trade process.

I haven't watched a lot of that stuff this year....just mostly the games and the banter with Mac/O'Neill etc behind periods...which is usually pretty good.

The trade process has been going on for a while it seems.

They’ve been talking they have just been telling GMs they want to sign him.

They probably know every offer already.

OK...I'll reword it...he's a good grinder to put on a line with some skill guys.

He makes $2M/yr and not $5-$10m for a reason.
