Finally a game tonight. Feels like they haven't played much recently.

I wager if he is not signed by the end of this week, then Dubas and Co. start to maybe listen to teams on offers. IF any of them make sense and clearly are a win, they'll move him, otherwise he sits and hope next season he wants to come off his demands.

Have a bad feeling given how we play at home, we are gonna do our usual no show and with Fleury in net we get our arses kicked.

I think I'd hold firm on Nylander. He's got a lot to lose this year by sitting. Loses a UFA year of his career and gets there at an older age.

Leafs have a lot to lose to. Losing an elite winger for a year and playoffs is a massive hit to the team.

Dubas does as well...Its a failure for him if that happens and that is not good as his first big decision for the Leafs.

It does but also is the real problem there too. Nylander was one of the top 3 now he is 4th cause he is behind JT, Matthews, and Marner. Could even be debated he is behind Kadri even and as low as 5th on the depth chart.

Easy he cant get a NTC so get as much as you can to ensure you have a higher salary and therefore are not easily traded because no team can afford you. Get paid and get more security.

It’s a failure for Dubas!? So what do you suggest? Sign Nylander at an inflated price? That just means that Marner and Matthews salary goes up and Nylander gets traded next summer. I say let him sit. If you get good value on a trade offer do it, otherwise trade him in the summer.
