Thanks Carol.
Reality is setting in with the club missing it’s top LW, RW, 1D shutdown Cs backup G (and his backup).
Phew.
I’m exhausted just thinking about it. |

Thanks Carol
It’s not even reality setting in. We all knew this team would need to have everything go it’s way to be competitive (or at least should have known). When does everything go your way? The team overall isn’t as bad as last night’s loss, and they aren’t as good as wins against Pittsburgh or Tampa. |

Well done Carol as usual.
The injury bug was coming no shocker. Not worried about Edler-Sutter-Tanev-Baertchi anymore as they will be oft-injured anyways. What worries me is Brock. Hopefully the injury bug doesn't creep in to his game his whole career. Be great to see what the kid could do with a couple healthy 82 game seasons under his belt. |

That’s a solid 200’ post right there! Hard back, using your body through the middle and aggressive around the net. |

Well we may as well call it 17 road games because coming back for 1 or 2 home games and back on the road again is franking brutal. I had to laugh sarcastically when they said minny went on a 7 gamer but went home twice wtf, and they call that a 7 game trip. Don't anyone hand me this crap about geography its about screwing the canucks. |

Oilers traded Eberle and his 25G/55P for Strome because Eberle was too soft
Now they trade Strome for a 15G/45P soft player

Again, its up to this team’s management to review the schedule when it’s sent out to all 31 teams and then raise concerns.
Gilman has gone on record saying that the Canucks annoyed the hell outta the league back then to avoid schedules like this.

Excuses, I have a really hard time believing that the NHL would intentionally screw the Canucks.
The real reason is what Carol wrote....injuries, fatigue, not having Sutter, or Bust Boeser. Pettersson tailing off, lack of depth. |

You do know that teams get choices of a couple of schedules presented by the league?
The Canucks tend to choose the long road trips at the start of the season (presumably when the team is supposed to be fresher) to get them out of the way. Perhaps it's time to re-think this strategy. |

I'm 100% sure they're not out to get us, but at the same time if they know management are pushovers then they'll be more willing to give the Canucks a 5-10% more difficult travel schedule to appease some other teams who are up their ass about travel schedules.
The nice guys get screwed in the real world, especially in a multi-million dollar business.
Edit: and as Marwood pointed out above, teams are given a few variations of a schedule and get to pick and choose which ones they're okay with.
