Honest question........what happened to Maata? I remember a few years ago he seemed like one of the premier up and coming young dmen in the league......now he seems to have almost no value. Was it injuries or just didn’t end up being as good as people thought?

thyroid cancer along with mumps his sophomore year, more injuries in yrs 3 and 4, some mike johnston, and just not as good away from letang.

Probably a bit of both.

Meh. There's no drama with the goalies no matter who starts how many games.

Don't really want Maatta, but Sprong would be an okay addition.

One thing to keep in mind with Maatta is that sometimes players just have bad years but then bounce back the following season. This was the case with Sheary last year but apparently he is doing better this year. Some teams might be willing to trade for Maatta based on this.
