Just blow it the (frank) up, I’ve had it. New GM-check

New coaching staff-coming soon

Trade Simmonds and Voracek, and since they’re going nowhere this year, might as well shop Gudas, Weal and Raffl too. Let Lehtera and Folin walk after the season. I’d trade AMac too, even if you retain half, assuming you can find someone to take him and Weise can spend his last year in LHV for all I care.

This team needs a (frank)ing heart transplant. I, like much of the fanbase, have been a loyal fan forever. We deserve better than this sh!t show!

Honestly, what I think they need, is a calming influence on the backend.

A Defenseman who can come in slow things down. Relax the team.

I am not saying that is easy to find, heck, I don't even know who that might be, but I do believe that should be trade target #1, even more so then a goalie.

The next GM's job just got easier with last night's game. Drive to Philly with a tractor trailer full of c4. Step into your new office and put up the open for business sign and let the other teams know in taking offers on anyone on this NHL roster not named Provorov or Giroux. And if someone comes with an offer that's crazy good I might even move those two.

Then I start looking hard at Lehigh and deciding which of the kids stays and which can go. The vets up there are what they are career AHLers so they can stay until their deals expire. Then we'll discuss them.

Then I look at the real kids, aka Hextall's pride and joys. They better be making improvement each year or they can be dealt. They stay this year but their evaluation starts in earnest next season.

I would threaten the players with trading them to NHL Siberia but guess what... That's Philly right now.

Yes, to me it is a toss up between this and a defensive center that need to happen first.

I'm no less angry today than I was last night.

The coach has to go right (frank)ing now.

I don't care if he wakeboards.

I don't care if he invented hockey.

I don't care if he's nice to you in the halls and goes to all the cool parties.

They need someone else in there and they need it now. Not a month from now.

HUUURRRRR THE PLAYERZ ON TEH ICE HURRRRRR

You are not going to replace all 23 players on the (frank)ing roster overnight. This has been the same thing, over and over with this set of players for 3 years. Enough.

The quickest, best thing to do RIGHT NOW is to REPLACE THE (frank)ING COACH.

My game Observations and Thoughts:

- Leadership? We all bring up Simmonds and Voracek and yet where are they? yes Voracek scored. Doesn't mean he played well. Two guys I think can be moved and still bring pieces to help now and change the attitude on this team.

- Identity? There is none. Plain in simple there is none. Team lacks fight, swagger, confidence, and direction.

- This team is so hard to watch right now and yet i still feel with the right moves can make the playoffs. This team doesn't lack for talent. They still have some good youth.

- Tkachuk plays the way I thought Simmonds was supposed too.

- Just so frustrating to watch right now

A new coach?

Someone to explain to them hockey fundamentals?

All a coach has to do is explain something to the players and it magically happens! It's wonderful.

I don't disagree, but those guys are few and far between and hard to get. Maybe a guy that won't cost a ton would be Kronwall out of Detroit. He's not the player he was at his peak but I'll take him over AMac/Folin. He has a Cup ring and is a respected vet and lord knows, Detroit needs to shed salary. Perhaps you try and put a deal together to get him and Jimmy Howard?

Other than that, not really sure what's out there. No contender or even a team that has reasonable expectations of making the playoffs is moving that type of player right now. Want no part of Seabrooks horrid contract so you can scratch Chicago off the list. JayBo has been horrible in St. Louis and he's never been the leadership type.

Maybe Phaneuf, but unless LA eats at least a million of the cap hit, I'd stay away.

I just don't see much out there.

Is this all on the coach? Of course not. Do he and his staff at least share in the blame? Absolutely. Either way, they are in last in the East and a new GM will soon be hired. There is no way that Hakstol is still the head coach by Christmas.

There's a lot of blame to go around. We'll have to see what happens. A new GM might take the season to evaluate the team. Either way I believe this is Hakstol's last season as Flyers head coach. These players in my opinion, mostly the veterans have seriously let this coach down. They played exactly the way they were supposed to play for 45-50 minutes and then stopped playing. Why can't this team learn lessons?

I was looking for a franchise shiffting move that can still help now. And I keep coming back to Edmonton because it feels like two teams that need that. I know he is young but I think he, probably explaining it wrong, overrated but I think would still help this franchise moving forward.

Would you package Voracek, Frost, Sanheim for Draisaitl? Maybe take back a deal like Lucic to facilitate something like that?

Throwing it out there to you since you because I think we both feel a bigger move is needed not just 4th line tweaks anymore.

And I would actually be ok with that as long as they maybe at least moved Lappy as a sacrificial lamb.

We rarely talk about it but all Hakstol's staff was hired by Hextall. Not Hakstol.

I honestly don't have the answers, but core players, veteran core players, need to be moved. I'd keep Giroux and Couturier, however, I'd be shopping Voracek and Simmonds. And though some will roast me for this, I'd be listening to offers for Ghost too. If I can put together a package built around a Ghost to land a more all around, complete, top pair quality Dman, I'd be open to moving him.

Players/prospects I consider untouchable:
Provorov
Frost
Hart
Konecny

Players/prospects that I would only move if completely blown away by what is coming back in the deal:
Giroux
Couturier
Patrick
Ghost
Sanheim
Myers
Sandstrom
Farabee
Ratcliffe

Everyone else is fair game.

It's completely foolish in my opinion. We give up an equal player to Drasaitl, add in Frost and Sanheim and then take Lucic off their hands to facilitate?

This team goes nowhere if they don't build up a strong two way puck moving group of defenseman. Sanheim is absolutely key to that.

Not interested. Draisatl is a very good player but he's not going to change the culture/dynamic of this team nor be the defensive/leadership force that locks down a lead late in games.
