I know he's good, but I really don't care. They chose their starter last night and won. Classless to drop by and say they should have won by even more because some guy who didn't play would have made all those saves + 2 more. He probably wouldn't have.

Yeah, a couple not necessarily soft, but could have gone differently. First goal Hutton with a stick would have had the save (Girgs also lost his stick) and Bogo screening him on the 3 on 1. If you're not going to block the shot get out of the way.

Remember a couple of years ago all those paper moves? Guys called up for the game and then sent down immediately after, but never actually going back to Rochester, only to be called up for the next game. They needed to do that just to save the money. Kinda sucks for the player that they don't get their NHL rate for the days they're "in Rochester" but they do get some incidentals, so it's not all bad.

He kept trying to force passes to the low slot and they kept getting picked off. It was getting infuriating. And he wasn't the only one trying them either. Tampa's forwards are playing better defense than their defensemen.

I think this is what led to his assist count to this point though. He gets everyone in a tizzy running around with him, and presto bango, Reinhart is alone in the slot for a goal to go off his skate from Eichel

Jack gets 2 guys (or more) shadowing him, and Reinhart or Skinner or Pominville or a defenseman is alone somewhere. Eichel's job is to create havok and then put it to an open spot. I think that can look like he's trying to do too much when it doesn't work, but when it does, it's of the highlight variety. Hes also on a 95-point pace

The game really could have been a blowout and it is rather surprising that we actually had a lead late. I hate to say it but Dahlin played his worst game of the year last night. In other games he had bad starts but then turned it around - last night it never happened. I like the fact that Housley keeps rolling him out there and he keeps being himself.

His worst game of the year and he was still a +1. +8 on the year so far and on pace for 44 points and a +25. Plus, he's still on a steep learning curve. Oh my, what we have here.....

I agree Jack sometimes gets it in is head that he has to do it all, that poop needs to stop, use your line mates. However as long as he is dishing out the assists I'm happy. The goals will come boys the goals will come...

I believe that's a result of every year he has been with the team until this year still being in his head.

He will shake that off as the season goes along.

IMO Dahlin is allowed to have a bunch of free passes this year on his play. He is 18 that poop is gonna happen. Also the whole entire team looked tight and scared at the start of the game.. But we hung in there that is all that matters, even though it was a loss and they played poopity for large stretches, they had a late lead. that is a confidence booster for this team...

If I was on that team, I would have said we played like that and still had a lead late. We can play better and that means we can beat them.
