He has done well on the side of the ball that rewards athleticism and reaction. The D is penalized as much or more than the Offense. He hasn’t shown the ability to build a craft a complete team. He’s a head coach, not a DC.
If you score 50% on a high school exam, that’s an “F”.
So is this: “F” McDummy. - Der Kaiser
No coach/GM would’ve had the money to do BOTH sides of the ball this year
Not sure what u were expecting
Everyone should’ve been prepared for the Offense to struggle this year |

I cant give him a grade until I see what him and Beane can accomplish with all of the cap space we will have. - Sabre_Tooth
I think it’s obvious that their plan was to do the defensethis year & the offense next offseason with all the Cap Room |

Your responses keep making it like I’m blaming him for personnel decisions. If you read my list, there isn’t a single criticism for personnel. It’s the way he coaches on the sideline.
The people he has aren’t great - but they could do better than they are if he was a better coach. |

SKINNER: I'm probably an old guy now. It's pretty sad. But when you see Rasmus Dahlin and Casey Mittelstadt wheeling around out there, then I feel pretty old. But hopefully I can stick with Jason Pominville (age 35) a little bit more. To me, he's an old guy. I'll stick close to him, make myself feel younger. |

Idk why they put it that way. The 3rd line is the 4th, and the 4th is the 3rd. Useage wise, I'd expect the "4th" to be closer to the 2nd |

Rienhart on pace for 60-65 points, wtf, should have way more production from a #2 overall pick.. - hehateme
Eichel is on pace for 30 more points, Laine is on pace for over 60 goals, Barkov is on pace for a PPG and in the Selkie discussion. Svechnikov is in the league as an 18 year old. Landeskog is part of the best line in hockey, Seguin is a top 15 player in the league, hedman and Doughty both have Norris trophies. These are the types of players you select at 2nd overall. Not 60-65 point players. Reinhart is the forward version of Zach Bogosian. Both good players who have long careers but will never live up or even come close to where they drafted. |

There is nothing wrong with a 60-65 point forward in your top 6. But to say that is a good return on investment on a 2nd overall pick is ridiculous. Especially when guys like Nylander, Drasatil, Domi, Larkin, Pasternak, Arvidsson could have been in the Blue and Gold. Look at production from other young players across the league Barzal (16th overall) Connor (18th overall), Boeser (26th overall). Its very possible that in a few years that Reinhart is the 5th best forward on this team once Mitts and our first rounders develop. |

Reinhart is the 6th best forward in his own draft. Would Pominville play at a 70 point pace with Reinhart as his C ? Eichel has a 4.6% shooting percentage and is on pace for 97 points. Let that sink in. Nylander is making more in the next 4 months then Reinhart will make over his entire bridge deal. |

none of them were going #2 overall though
no matter who was picking at 2
it came down to 3 players for the sabres at pick 2, and from what I was told, leon was not really in the conversation
it was 80 percent skunk, 20% bennett up until 2 weeks before the draft |
