It was inevitable
These things are known:
Lehtera is slow
Neuvirth will soon be on IR
and
Weise blows - BiggE
Meh. 1 game doesnt take away the rest of the season for Weise which I think has been solid.
Agree on the other 2 but its unfortunate they dont have better options for either. |

Watched it in the 80s, 90s and so on.
Fights have their place but they really arent a part of this era of the game.
Doesnt make it boring..just makes it different. - opeth_pa
I do miss the nasty rivalries though
Montreal vs Quebec
Flyers vs the Rags
Edmonton vs Calgary
Those games were a blast. I don’t care about the fighting as much as I just miss the overall snarl. Totes nailed it when he said no one hates anyone out there any more. You see a glimmer of it when we play the Pens, but that pales in comparison to the rivalries of the 80s and 90s.
Don’t get me wrong, todays players have off the charts skills and I don’t miss the clutch and grab trap at all. I just would like to see a little more nasty out there most nights. |

Revenge for that soft OT goal he gave up against the Blow Joes - Landsbergfan
Soft OT goal against the Bluejackets? What did watch? It was a laser just under the crossbar! It was a bad giveaway, but a great shot. Get to the optometrist soon!! |

Stolie is the star of the game so far. They could have easily been down 3 going into the 2nd. Let’s see if they can dig deep for 20 minutes and get out of town with 2 points |

Agreed. They were whining but skinner initiated that back and forth. Basically held ghost back and had his whole hand on his shoulder pulling him. |

What scares me is how tentative the Flyers are cleaning out those rebounds. Needs to get back into sucking them in or directing them to the boards, which is easier said than done. |

I agree but Ullmark has made some really good saves also. Particularly on the Voracek PP shot.

It has been great to see some momentum saves. Hockey is a game of chaos. Mistakes get made and teams try to take advantage. I give Stolie an A+ for standing his ground when needed. Hes had some weak goals but overall hes earned his starts. |

Weise had a good month or so, kudos to him. However he flat out sucked balls for the 2 previous years and he looks like the horse faced turd that he is today. I’m not letting him off the hook just yet. |

See I miss the fighting. I realize the game will always evolve, but I still miss a couple of tilts every game. I was never a fan of the staged fights, but I thought the game was also a lot more physical..

Great goaltending on both ends, no question. Flyers deserve credit for nutting up in the 2nd period. |
