Provy with a huge grin - dragonoffrost
Huge for him. I've been critical of him but I'm all for some happiness and confidence. |

This could be his bounce back. Kind of like the benching did for him after the disaster versus Chicago |

Morganti is wrong; you can't break the team trying to get JVR going, but yeah, you do need to do stuff to get him going -- he's a goal-scoring winger
You can't play the guy with Jordan Weal and then wonder where the (frank)ing goals are |

How many games did he have Laughts with him. I'd like to see that if they put G and Coots back together |

Take Mark Stone and figure it out later. - DrMidnite
Would depend on what would be required to go the other way to complete the trade. Not interested in trading any of our young Dmen. |

Then you factor in JvR on PP1 plus playing with Laughton and Patrick. |

I love Stone but this team cannot afford any more high priced wingers with Votacek and JVR making 7 & 8. |

Hope so. The young D can use an old school buddy for sure. Hockey has to include emotion as much as people like to measure it by #s. |

Maybe that is exactly what a young D core needs, someone who is relaxed but is a great teacher. |

It does make a difference. Saw it with the Phillies young players when they replaced Bowa with Manuel.
You just can’t play well if you’re stressed out before the game even starts. |

JvR for Stone - Glak18
Really?
Rather do 3 team trade involving Voracek. And living with Stone and JVR until we decide when we want to win, then leverage.
The 3 team trade is a lost art, and involves LOTS OF THOUGHT. |

By leverage I mean using a position of strength to sure-up a weak area. |

All the players are happy about the win obviously, but there has to be more to it with ALL those smiles, especially with Hak. They didn't smile like this against Pittsburgh.
Seems like they were all promised something for a win today...

A rough 1st period, not even half as bad from a team perspective as last game in Buffalo. G is awesome! Stolie with some nice stops. Nice to see JVR on the board. Patrick was noticeable in the offensive zone in addition to his normal good play in the other two zones. Raffl stepped up. Simmonds with the pool shot. Lindblom using his sample-sized ice time very well. Great team play to close out that win! Hak still happy. Wilson is so cool.
Lots of positives. My big negative: Have to say I am not a fan of Taryn Hatcher’s comment and interview questions that baited people about Alex Lyon. It was low and tacky. I am as happy as anyone that Stolie is getting this opportunity and running with it. Other than his injury history there is no reason for not giving him the chance to show that he is a NHL goaltender. But any knowledgeable, fair, sane person should be able to acknowledge the difference between the two games from a individual player perspective. They were not the same hand being dealt. You should never feel that you have to step on someone else, to make yourself or another look better. Completely classless.
