"Boy, can that kid skate. That is all."
I agree. And clearly, as he is only 18, he is going to be a great one. But I'm ready for the brain farts to end, already. There's at least one every game, and while it should certainly be forgiven, it shouldn't be overlooked. |

I don't feel bad for Phaneuf at all. His late bump of Pilut and then trying to run ERod. Typical Dianne, let me hit the little guy and the rookie. I wanted to see him and Bogo but I knew Dianne would never drop the gloves.
I am happy with the win and seeing a goals from Lockport and the All-Star but I'd really like to see more of a no mercy attitude and quit letting teams off the mat when they have them down. |

yuppers, schultzie...seems as if the media overlook it plenty as they're mesmerized by his skills and skating...despites his brain farts and the team being an overall minus-5, he had an even rating |

Why he was in the pressbox for the Philadelphia game is puzzling but he came back to the lineup last night and had a helluva game that includes schooling 2016 Norris Trophy-winning defenseman Drew Doughty with this beaut:
It was an awesome play. That was Nolan-era Girgs for sure. But maybe the scratch brought that out of him. He had that hard north/south game and showed the ability to finish that's been missing for 4 years. Maybe it's a matter of motivation? |

I wouldn't mind trying Tage on the top line just to spread out the talent more. Maybe he turns into our Tom Wilson without the suspensions.
Skinner Eichel Thompson
Mitts Reinhart Okposo
Sheary Rodriguez Pommers
Sobotka Larsson Girgs
The 2nd line could have Casey and Sam either at wing or center whichever works. Rodriguez may benefit playing with Pominville and Sheary and our 4th line(some nights 2nd or 3rd line) would still be able to handle the defensive minutes. |

Loved a good chunk of the game last night. Yes, there were too many breakdowns, and as Jack said post-game, they made it too easy for LA.
There is one thing I realized while watching the game last night. I still want to get Iafallo on our team. I was impressed with his hustle and work. We should see if we could bring the hometown boy home. I think he might make a difference in our middle six.
Another thing I realized, is that Pommer was really showing his age. He wasn't moving particularly well, nor did he seem to have any giddyup left.
Keep up the good work...this year is transition and missing 3 defensemen out of our lineup is having its toll. But lookie at the shiny new toy we are getting in one "Larry" Pilut. Really liking his game so far.
So what do you think it will take to get Iafallo? |

maybe...who knows?
he has shown those abilities throughout the years, but he's had hands of stone on display more often then not...
we'll see how this unfolds |

if he brings that energy all the time, he would be a loved sabre for life on the bottom 6
problem is we only see that fire one out of 10 games |

gus seemed to have a little more jump last night, but he always brings the work-ethic and can skate really well for a big guy...which is why I couldn't understand him in the pressbox against philly...especially against a team like philly |

No doubt his increased ice time helped him score 15 goals in 60 games his sophomore year, but his goals looked a lot like what he scored last night. Haven't seen much of that in a long time. And against Doughty? The scratch must have woken him up, it's the only thing that I can think of |
