It was a great game.
It had a playoffs feeling to it. - Scabeh
That's good that you're getting it out of the way now because I highly doubt Boston overtakes Tampa for 1st in the east |

One of my daughter's love that show. I have no idea what the (frank) is going on most of the time. That and the Loud House
Although the theme song is awesome. - walshyleafsfan
Nice.
Ya the new Titans is definitely not for kids.
Is loud house the cartoon with a dozen kids? |

Yeah. It's just mayhem with everyone shouting. I've got really into SpongeBob recently. That guy knows where it's at. Wouldn't ever hear him being booed. |

Leafs fans really need to ask themselves one question:
Does booing Gardiner help or hurt the Leafs?
I'm going to go with "hurt the Leafs" on this one. - Atomic Wedgie

Hey, we're only 3 points back from you guys.
Who knows?
Habs/Boston in the playoffs is always a treat.
And we usually, somehow, find a way to win. |

I honestly don't think i could tell if Jake was affected or not by booing when watching him play.
If someone booed him in 2013, it would make a lot of sense now. |

Hey for once the Leafs have games in hand on every team. Usually other teams have 48473 games in hand by this point in the season. |

There was this one play in the first period which showed the essence of what W. Nylander is as a hockey player:
After what I think was a nice play by Nylander (or an ok play, not sure) the puck goes close to the boards.
Nylander has the advantage over the other guy, but when he sees there might be some physical contact, he basically starts to skate away from the puck, and does an 'alibi-pokecheck' (body as far away as possible from end of his stick to avoid any possibilty of a hit).
Since it was almost 2am, I drew the conclusion and decided to stop watching.
Trade Nylander for a good top6 FW with a different style. Couturier comes to mind. |

Being totally honest, i'd much prefer Tampa vs Leafs, Boston vs Montreal. Then we beat Montreal. Then the Islanders. Then lose to the Golden Knights. - walshyleafsfan
I don't LIKE this scenario.
But I don't HATE it too much either.

I am not going to further debate whether or not the booing is ok.
But, Jake is the 9th highest paid player on the team and 2nd best D man. He is one of the best non ELC bang for your buck contracts on the team. Even if you don't like Gardiner. He is forced to play where he is in the lineup. That is up to management to upgrade the position or the coach to try new pairings.
Point is. There are plenty of players that I would think would of gotten booed before Gardiner. |

Think a lot of people are just so sick of what Jake does with regards to the mistakes. Like just over it. They just want to move on. I imagine Zaitsev, Dermott, Nylander, Matthews, Marner et al will be getting booed when they are constantly making the same (frank) ups game in, game out in their 8th year with the team. |

9th highest paid player? who da fuq cares about that.
Leaf fans have a history of booing players, like McCabe, Murphy, and Jim McKenny |

Well its funny.
Gardiner's stats without Zaitzev are astronomically better. The Athletic came out with an article on it today.
Z relies heavily on Gardiner on every breakout and other teams know it. It is pretty easy to exploit.
Even Oz can make a first pass out of the zone but Z just panics and either gives it to Gards or throws it to the center who's more often than not covered. |

I feel the same way about Gardiner as I did with Bozak and JVR. I've seen all they have to offer and believe turning the page will be best for the team, and hopefully the player. I don't dislike Jake, I don't know him personally, but I believe the team will be well served to move on from him after this season. |
