Was just looking at the UFA D men for next year. Brad Hunt impresses me. Add to Reilly, Dermott, Zaitsev and perhaps Rosen. Still leaves us one short. Sandin perhaps or Holl. Hopefully this is the last of Marincin too. Never going to play on this team for sure so why not take a chance on someone who might. Most likely Vegas resigns Hunt though. Oh well, a little wishful thinking.

I fail to see how this deal helps us? Hainsey is still on the top pairing and Martinez is basically a Spanish Zaitsev..

A leaf fan in Ottawa watches every game and says that Gardiner is good but messes up at horrible times; and tbh that's what I see. Mental lapses. Not hating on the guy but I'd take that deal in a heartbeat if I had the choice of which prospect I give up.

Lets Say 1st, Lily and a Connor Brown and a prospect from the Marlies (not Sandin)

imo Hamilton is the perfect fit for the Leafs right now, age contract, RH shot ..elite d
