Like if every game he plays he gets a shutout? I mean how good can he really play though, he has zero NA experience. He is currently a backup behind Gunnarsson, who has been playing great.

Even if he plays shutout hockey during preseason he still needs to prove himself in the AHL. Sitting on the bench watching Hart is not good for his development.

If Sandstrom plays his ass off and whoever they sign gets hurt then maybe. I just don't think that it's likely.

I think it would take a multiple goalie injury situation before they would give it a look.

Is Simmonds staying or going? Are they letting all UFAs walk? Who are they adding for next year to improve the team before they go UFA shopping?

You are looking at the trade wrong then.

Simmonds and the 1st are the two main pieces. However as many stated, they would be surprised if they got a 1st. Kassian(1.9 mill) is a low risk guy for our bottom 6.

Rest of the players are involved to give EDM cap space. Which is the sweetner to get the 1st.

Spooner(3.1 mill) for Weise(1.15 after 50% retained).
Talbot(4.166 Mill) for Elliott(2.75)
Petrovic(1.9 mill) for Folin(800k)
