The cost to keep that old piece of poop arena going must be getting close to that tipping point were financing a new arena is more fiscally responsible.

You are probably right, isn’t it a stand off between who is paying for the arena. Alberta is hurting money wise, for Calgary to put up 500+ million for an arena must be tough to swallow.

Considering the amount of times he’s been traded, it can’t just be teams wanting rid of him. There must be some interest from teams that include him in these deals.

That's exactly it. But it's Calgary vs Edmonton. Calgary won't build a basic plain Jane 18,000 seat Arena. It will have to be better than the new Rogers Centre in EDM or it just won't do lol.
