Saying that we haven't done a good job hiring coaches yet is not a valid response. You don't keep a bad coach because you haven't hired a good one yet. - Der Kaiser
Two very different topics. I don't find your response valid.

This might sound odd, but my biggest criticism of Phillip is that he doesn't know when to take a timeout.... As in, last night, with 17:00 minutes left in the 2nd period, not just after NYR scored their 3rd goal, but the ensuing sh!t-show in their own end...
You call a timeout and you absolutely tear into your guys at that moment. He had to try something and he just stood there looking like a moron chewing his gum. - BeadyEyedDouche
that was 50/50
when the rangers scored to make it 4-2 with 4 minutes
you have to take a time out there
instead nothing, and 7 seconds later, 5-2 game over |

you are living with a girl that brings nothing to your home
she doesn't contribute money
she doesn't clean
not really good in bed, but it's better then the right hand
do you stay content, or look to upgrade? |

you didn't answer my question
based on what I have seen, I would want him gone
but the question is
is this the guy for eichel, dahlin, reinhart, skinner and risto
you have 2 generational players in eichel and dahlin on the roster
only other time that happened was with 16 and 89
do you want this guy, or what's behind the curtain? - homiedclown
I was just asking you a question, lol. I wasn't involved in that discussion. I just wanted your opinion, if you're GM. |

Housley says Okposo is doing well and go on the trip. Maintenance days for Ullmark and Bogosian. Scandella is being evaluated further and will not be on the trip. |

2019/2020 Buffalo Sabres
Skinner-Eichel-_____
_____- Mitts-Reinhart
_____-_____-Thompson
Smith-Erod-Okposo
Dahlin-_____
Pilut-Risto
McCabe-_____
______
Hutton/Ullmark (both goalies to me are good backups to have but neither are long term starters)
Bogo will probably be retained so he plays on the third pair with McCabe. Rochester guys like Asplund, Olofsson will have a really good opportunity to make the roster next season. Botts has a lot of cap space to play with as well. - Pegullaville
Can’t do that with the forward lines imo
It’s looks ok at first glance,
but which line is getting the tough defensive zone icetime? |

95% of the time we agree
as long as it is not eichel, matthews and reinhart - homiedclown
I think Reinhart is a good player, like an RNH. I think the Matthews and Eichel debate will go on until the end of their respective careers and I definitely see your side of the argument. As long as you have one of them (which we do) then it’s a good situation to be in. |

We’d have to bring in a 3C that can be competent in that role. Eichel line would have to start playing against other teams top lines on a consistent basis as well. Bringing in a two way forward to play on that top line like a Stone/Silfverberg would be just as imperative as the 3C. |

Who do you think would be a good replacement for the team we have/seem to be building? - Shadman306
Barry Trotz
That guy is a freaking wizard or something
What he’s done with the Isles is nothing short of shocking |

There’s something we can agree on. It’s a giant kick to the groin that guys like Gallant, Julien, Trotz all got hired and Q got fired within a year of ya hiring Softie McSoftsoft |

Ya know what was a really bad trade ? The ROR trade. Unnecessary, dumb, and the Blues fleeced us. Berglund is gone (and sucked). Sobotka would have been a decent pickup - like 6 years ago. Thompson is a project. # 1 pick is a crap-shoot. Meanwhile, O'Reilly is still super and doing it all in St Louis. I realize he's not coming back - I get it. But that trade ruined this season. So sick of trades made to change culture. Who gives a crap about culture. I prefer good/great players.
ROR trade gets an F- from me.
On a more positive note, followed by a negative note - we'll win the next game (but lose the following one - can't win back to back games). - kritter65

Yea. That was a 2019/2020 projection though btw. Not a long term solution. My projection also had us turning over quite a few positions. It’s tough to do everything in one offseason. |

People would be complaining about ROR floating and talking incessantly about his contract still (myself absolutely included) if he was still here.
We’d be in slightly better shape still talking about how far away we are, but just with less cap space and 1st round picks to try and fix it - sbroads24

Yeah, i figured it was for next season
Everything u did there makes total sense
But when u try to figure out how to play the actual game with that lineup,
then i think you start to run into issues
It’s also just 1 offseason,
and you’re asking quite a lot to be done
A more reasonable situation might be Smith & E Rod on line3 with Thompson,
and bringing back Girgs & Larsson for Line4 and keeping that the defensive line for another year |
