How was the Rochester coaching? 🙂 - Boss34
It was the difference, the players were just skating, checking and shooting. |

Yep, my uncle asked his friend with the Sabres what the hell happened last night and he said " THEY ARE SOFT" . - SABRES 89
We could use a physical presence next year both on the forecheck and on the back end. I hope Botts looks at that. Rochester did that for this year but Buffalo didn't. Odd.

I have a theory.
Murray knew his leash would be short when he took this job.
He tried to sacrifice everything to just make a playoff appearance quickly to buy himself time - sbroads24
Trying to remember but wasn't Murray concerned that Lafontaine was going to take over as GM so he rushed his rebuild to save his job. Then of course Lafontaine quit but not sure on the timing of all of that. |

Wouldn't surprise anybody if he stepped down. Interesting comments on Stone. The Sens need to extend him, they can't lose him. Sounds like Duchene will get moved. Then they have to decide on Dzingel. The deadline for Ottawa should be interesting. This could be the week we see some trade movement prior to the 25th.

Sabres AGM Steve Greeley and a scout took in the Bruins/Kings game last night. They had scouts at the Winnipeg/Sens game as well. Probably just standard stuff but the fact that Greeley took in the Kings game, I found interesting. |

Sabres have been linked to Duchene and Toffoli at varying points throughout the year. |

Toffoli is my #1 trade target. Perfect winger for Jack and Skinner. |

I liked the proposal that Homie brought up that included Kempe in that deal as well. |

I liked the idea too. Toffoli at RW on Jack's line, Kempe as 3C. He's versatile too, can play the wing also. The Kings will re-build so we will have pieces to offer.
This might not be a TD deal but maybe something that could happen at the draft. |

Most posters here pay little attention to Rochester and I get it, Buffalo is numero uno. I think the farm system is vitally important and Botterill and Randy Sexton have made Rochester and Cincinnati a priority.
And to add to this conversation, Cincinnati leads their division and is second in the ECHL overall with a 34-9-3 record. - mhp
It’s nice (i guess) that Cinci is doing well,
but i think there’s only 2 guys on the entire roster that are actually Sabres property-
G- Johansson, who Homie says Botts likes
D- Stephens, who’s likely not an NHL talent
There’s a few others who were Sabres draft picks but don’t have an NHL contract & aren’t NHL talents either
D- Florentino, F- Glotov, F- Peterson
So cool that they’re doing well...
but besides Johansson,
It’s very unlikely we ever see any of them in a Sabres uniform |

He yells in practice I was told, a lot , but game days, he says nothing. - SABRES 89
But if he doesn’t yell at the Refs,
how will he ever make our guys play better? |

Whoever we plug in there is probably gonna be successful
If we can’t get Stone,
I’d be ok giving E Rod a shot as their RW
*assuming we get a legit 2C or 3C
Skinner-Eichel-E Rod
(Dzingel/Ferland)-(Hayes/Nelson)-Reinhart
Sheary/CjSmith-Mitts-Tage
Girgs-Larsson-Okposo/Sobotka
*this assumes we can only nab a couple secondary UFA types |

Agreed on Brock Nelson and Ferland. How about Nick Jensen as an under the radar RHD? |

Would Toffoli be available for a Jeff Skinner like trade this past offseason? He's not nearly as good as Skinner and he too has one year left before being a UFA, which means how much is Toffoli going to want to get paid, especially if he has a giant year on Eichel's wing?
I originally thought something like the Blues 1st, Sabres 2021 2nd, Guhle, and Thompson for Toffoli and Kempe was about right, but it seems like too much after checking Toffoli's production, despite the Kings black hole of offense. |

I’ve seen his name brought up by a few ppl on CapFriendly
Don’t really know much about him other than he’s playing pretty well this year
Only time i watch Detroit is when they play us, and even then i haven’t really noticed him all that much
If we can’t find a true partner for Dahlin and have to role with Bogo again,
Jensen could make sense as the right side guy on the 3rd pair
Would seemingly be an upgrade over Nelson
Dahlin-Bogo
Pilut-Risto
McCabe-Jensen
Nelson
Hunwick
*trade Beaulieu & Scandella |
